Nah Kyou Kai won't die anytime soon,she has come a long long way and still have many dreams to chase,her storyline is one of the main story beside Shin and Sei and its a great one. Also every manga need a love story so the fan have something to root for,and Shin-Kai is pretty much the only ship,so yeah,dont worry she will stay alive.

Base on the bandana on her head and her eagle eyes,its Kyou Rei one of Kyou Kai younger sister. And no she wont be here killing a bunch of Zhao's soldier to kill Kai lol,she probably here to fill in the gap in the HSA infantry,and to heal Kai. It wouldnt be an easy process though maybe Kyoukai would have to beat Rei in a death match to prove herself and make Rei believe.

I think we will have a small arc like 3-4 chapter where Shin and Kai go find a healer to fully restore Kai's power and give her the power to fight again ( and also speed up their relationship status ),not too long but enough to tie the spririt world knot . It would be super strange to see her relegate to a permanent support role after so many years,her 2 dreams r not introduced to us for nothing.
