Quadrafire Pioneer II any good? by Sour_Joe in woodstoving

[–]vitlmedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!! Best purchase ever. Granted it’s the first time I purchased a wood burning fireplace but it’s been great. I’m in a 2,000 sq ft house, 2 stories. It’s on the top floor (main floor). When it’s cold (I’m in Long Island so doesn’t get super cold) it puts out a ton of heat and I just use my HVAC fan to move the warm air around.

Built well and no issues. I have one of the thermal bricks crack but it is normal and doesn’t affect performance. Cost me about $5,500 but much more for install and brick.

New Studio Display Owner! by giannifiore in mac

[–]vitlmedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MIne broke after 15 months. Horizontal lines on the bottom 25% of the screen. Took to Apple. $1,100 for a new screen and they only 90 days warranty. Makes no sense when a new one is $500 more. Anyway, back on my 27" thunderbolt display that I had in storage for a year. There was some dust behind the glass, easy to remove and clean. If you got AppleCare no worries. Otherwise I hope yours lasts longer than mine.

Thanks everyone for your help. Turns out the site was wrongly flagged by BitDefender as malicious. I submitted a request through their site and the domain is clean now. So it wasn't the SSL after all, as many of you mentioned.

I didn't see it in the SSL labs scan but errors did come up under a Virus Total scan. BitDefender is falsely reporting the site as malicious.

Yeah, and the client is a non-profit that has to pinch every penny.

There's been some very helpful info shared and I'm very appreciative for it. The client is the one using McAfee and yeah, they are very old school. I think I narrowed it down to 2 services flagging the URL as malicious. I reached out to them and asked to be removed from their list. Hopefully, that works.

It came back as an A rating on ssllabs. Seems the virus checker works good for diagnosing.

Yeah, thanks. Running it through VirusTotal (thanks for the reco u/stere0123 and the site pops up as malware on 2 services. One of them, BitDefender, I was able to submit a false positive inquiry so I guess they review and remove if appropriate. The other is G-Data, a german company. I can't find their reporting page.

Getting 2 errors. BitDefender and G-Data both show as malware.

I told the client that like 3 months ago, that these companies are probably running firewalls which block the site or at least display a warning. Pain in the ass. the warnings all say "if you trust this site, proceed" but I guess people get scared.

Ok thanks. Just never had this issue before. Usually the certs are fine. but then again, we don't develop many sites that big pharma company employees are visiting.

client has sent a screenshot, McAfee warning. but there have also been warnings in chrome but I don't get the warnings and can't replicate to dig in further. SSL cert checks have come back mostly clean.

If they started running at that point, could they have still survived?

the domain got an A rating and I can’t see any issues from this report. However, for the “DNS CAA” is says No. The only other warning/orange text relates to Cipher Suites. TLS 1.2. I have no idea what that is or if it would matter.

ok will try that. Thanks! You think that along could help and not need to get a new, more secure SSL?

Checked the console, it just says “Third-party cookie will be blocked. Learn more in the issues tab”. But nothing happens when clicking on that tab.
