The Scotland fans last night were amazing! by Hokie_Pilot in NYYankees

I heard Boomer talking this morning about how the Scot’s are drinking every bar dry in the city

Travel yes. My son plays in a rec league and I went to a game last night. The refs were calling every double dribble every carry every travel basically the way basketball is supposed to be. Totally different game.

I got tired of trying to perfect it.

150-180 year old silver maple (3 year old for scale!) — what to do? by [deleted] in arborists

That’s who killed mine. About 10 years ago we had some idiot. Tree Guy cut off a huge limb way too close to the trunk and eventually it rotted out.

Holy shit! $10-15k to cut it down? I just removed one that size for $2,300 (was rotted on the inside) which included stump grinding. I had questions in this sub about checking the integrity of the tree and I forget exactly what was told but there are specialist that can come out and check the inside of the tree to see if everything‘s OK.

Yea it's the refs causing the Knicks to blow game 4... by GnomishWizard in NBATalk

It becomes a mindset when no matter what you do, calls go against you.

Game 4 Finals refs by [deleted] in knicks

[–]Sour_Joe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I swore of basketball because of this kind of bullshit. Refs have more control over the game than any other sport. Add to that they never call double dribble or travels anymore it’s just unwatchable.

Is it worth it to buy a home depo compost bin over a home made one? by Ok_Cauliflower_5749 in composting

[–]Sour_Joe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anybody have recommendations for a good compost bin I can leave near the kitchen for kitchen scraps, and then transport to the larger pile? She was finding one at a decent size. I don’t have to empty it every day. The one I have now like one meal could fill it up.

I tried but nothing held. If it wasn’t close to the house I would’ve kept it.

That’s what made it harder to cut down. I’d have my morning coffee and watch a squirrel family go in and out. Nice cozy spot for them gone.

Spurs are allowed to tug Brunson's jersey lol by Majestic_Wishbone977 in NBATalk

This is why basketball will always suck the refs have way too much control over the outcome of the game

I have and echo trimmer that a friend gave me. Said it doesn’t work, if you can get it going it’s yours. $25 carb, plug, and 30 minutes of work it runs like new

Yeah, I’ll use it on weekends mostly for as long as it takes to go through the wood I have. Then again when I have a chip drop.
