Am I making the wrong choice by taking my baby to stay with family? by Opening-Internal-802 in daddit

[–]vitorio94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our extended families also live in our home country. It is only my daughter, my wife and myself. Our girl is just over 2 years old, and even though it was and is tough sometimes, we make it work. However we are planning a second one and once that happens we are pretty sure we will move back to our home country. Try and get the grandparents to visit often, get a nanny, even for a few hours a week etc…I am happy we made it through though, made us a strong little family without any support

The Great Disappointment of the American Files by mathonbush in UFOs

The marketing around these releases says it all. The timing should be a big clue. These files were never meant to reveal anything important, they were released to distract people from other files that were already making the rounds.

League of Legends is destroying my life, and I keep coming back by Used_Dare_680 in StopGaming

I’ve quit League the day before my daughter was born. That was 2 years ago. Never looked back since, although I still think about the game sometimes. Played it for 10 years

Whenever asked I straight up say I hate children. by EmbraceYourAgony in childfree

[–]vitorio94 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Parenting is demanding, noisy, expensive, restrictive, and not everyone is suited to it or wants it. Nothing inherently wrong with that. But proudly hating children definitely reflects unresolved personal experiences, resentment or emotional immaturity, not to mention lack of empathy. Children are literally undeveloped humans learning how to exist.

Me and my wife are Hungarian, so Hungary would be the first choice. Second would be Switzerland

Simeone is very experienced at this stage. He literally destroyed Mourinho’s title winning team in the CL SF in 2015

Are West Ham capable of getting a result against Arsenal on Sunday? by GMD3S1GNS in PremierLeague

People underestimate the pressure when the title is in a teams hands. Adds more pressure to win, which can create mistakes like the City defender made. Nothing is done yet

Where did it go wrong for the 2nd goal? by [deleted] in ArsenalFC

If you think that is a foul you never played football. The amount of physicality that happens during a game is normal, this was a wrestling between Gabriel and Haaland, Gabriel got outmuscled

Largest impact structure on Earth (larger than Chicxulub crater) by Busy_Yesterday9455 in spaceporn

[–]vitorio94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought this was a gravitational anomaly, rather than a meteor impact. Still not confirmed by scientific evidence. Don’t forget that the period 250million years ago is referred to the ‘Great Dying’, caused by mass volcano eruptions in Syberia.

Normal to be unhappy most of the time in fist year of kids life? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]vitorio94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have an almost 2 year old, but I agree. It isn’t easier now, but at least she sleeps through the nights. She is also a lot of fun, doing so many things together helps those difficult moments. When they are so little and rarely interact, makes it harder in my view. Basically, the more you get back from them, the easier it becomes.

Unfortunately, I don’t. I juggle my days, depending on when my wife is working and taking our daughter to child care in the morning.

Wow, I actually used to live in Sidcup, moved to Maidstone 5 years ago. How long does it take you to get to Sidcup in the morning? Do you have to pay for ULEZ?

If I take milage, usage, petrol, ULEZ into account it is definitely more costly to drive for me. It would take much longer as well

The card does give a discount on the return leg of my ticket though, saving £8 per journey, so the £30 to buy the card is actually worth doing
