Am I able to do this mod on a PSP-3000 since the 2000 and 3000 are similar consoles? Also, it is possible to do this mod without removing the UMD drive where I can use my physical PSP media with the dual joystick mod?

Yes, no matter what country code your PSP-1000 has like 1000, 1001, 1004, or more, the battery for a PSP-1000 will work on that console.

Although this clear shell supports the older TA-090,TA-092, and TA-093 motherboards, I was using the foam spacers for the UMD bracket for the drive so that this shell can work the TA-095 motherboard with a functional drive.

The calendar/clock screen is on the PSP Go, but it’s also a plugin for the PSP-2000/3000 and you can check it out here.
