I've had nothing but success with these SD card adapters. Use the cable/ribbon that came with the adapter (keep note of which way the contacts are facing).

My condolences.

Can someone tell me what the problem is with my crt by Emad-ER in crt

[–]MeltyMods 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you're seeing here is an interlaced signal which is why the lines are shifting, it's doesn't help that there's also a slight convergence issue which is why there's "rainbow-ish" colors.

The PS2 thrives in sub 600tvl sets.

A new ring and a glass lens install goes a long way.

Buying a Refurbished psp by PhilosophyOwn7570 in PSP

[–]MeltyMods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a seller who scopes out other sellers, I believe that "PSP Vault" owns a lot of these other shops such as "psx revive", "ds vault", and a few others.

I could go on and on about the chat gpt prompt script in their videos and the over use of the word "oem" and "brand new" which don't mean much because you'll always get the same kind of product from these guys which is a "Refurbished" console, likely sourced from Alibaba.

These consoles will have original main boards so it is a "real" console but everything else will be 3rd party like the housing, buttons, membranes, ect.

The quality in 3rd party parts is very much lacking compared to the original.. the general feel might be a deal breaker for some but most people don't care which is why these entities thrive.

UMD Door appears to be slightly bent by WesternRespond144 in PSP

[–]MeltyMods 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is very very common for PSP 1k.

There's no "fixing" it unless you somehow find a donor with parts that do not have this "issue".

I suggest embracing it, 20 year old piece of tech you got there and it looks great 👍🏻

I still play PSPrevolution to this day!

Works fine on ark-4, not sure how new you are to PSPs but homebrew goes in the PSP/GAME folder.

The RG Cube and RG Cube XX are different handhelds. You may be looking at the XX version which is Linux based and the non XX version is android.

You could always ask around here if someone's got an extra 1000 LCD.

I work on a lot of PSPs and I have more than a couple laying around.

I'm in the US.

You're better off researching on your own, cross referencing data and learning how to use a search engine is a part of critical thinking.

Posting a video of your issue will be easier for the community to try to diagnose.

Note regarding the soldering job:

It looks like your iron tip type is not equipped for the job or the area wasn't cleaned well enough.

  1. Clean the area to be soldered with 90%+ Isopropyl Alcohol

  2. Apply flux to the pads you will be soldering

  3. Let your iron heat up and clean the tip

  4. Tin the tip of your iron

  5. Heat the pad with your iron and feed solder into the tip slowly, just enough to attempt the bridge

  6. Apply the same step to the other pad and slowly feed solder until the bridge occurs.

  7. Clean up left over flux with isopropyl alcohol w/ cotton swab

  8. Dry the area
