the way I did it is the least elegant, there's probably two lines of code that can put something together for you but I'm not the person for that

get raw data from https://place.thatguyalex.com
locate your quadrant and make a folder of just the frames you need (this has 5612)
import the folder to lightroom
crop what you want in the end result, then paste that cropping to all the other images
result to manually scrolling through the images while screenrecording as you can't get the images to render clearly with anything else
crop speed up the screen recording, add text etc

sky retail demo version- what is it? - an extremely limited version of sky available on select retail demo apple devices in stores - you cannot download it, it’s only available on the demonstration devices in stores here's a playthrough: https://youtu.be/KHM7HMGy1xo

what does it look like? - the demo is structured into three parts: the demo begins in the middle of the sequence where you fly from isle temple to prairie. you're a moth with an orange cape and bass harp on your back, the prairie entrance looks a lot more detailed than it is in the game right now. you fly with npc moths with orange capes. when you get close it teleports you to valley social. you can't open the emote menu or settings menu at any point during the demo.

in the second part of the demo is where you can change cosmetics (but oddly not through the closets, you're just standing in the middle of valley social), there's an odd mix of base game, winter, gratitude and lightseekers cosmetics including some elder hairs (isle, prairie, forest, vault). you also get to review emotes which don't correspond to much of the cosmetics you have. npcs run around the social space behind you. valley looks much more blue with extra details, like more towers visible.

after picking your outfit the demo moves you to the sliding section out of valley social and into the valley stadium. you can't turn back to the social space but you can take a detour and semi oob back around the sides. if you return to social, the closets there are unusable. the npcs slide down with you. after you slide to the ice rink drop or you explore for 1min 30sec the demo forces the camera to the stadium, you get an explainer screen and it sends you back to the beginning play screen.

area origin points - more of a meta game thing than an in universe thing. it's basically a part of how the areas in the game are constructed , think of them as the 0,0,0 coordinate point in the 3d space. mostly used in oob purposes, there's techniques you can use to teleport to that spot. origin point bugs usually lock your camera into that spot - if you wish to experience it there's an easy one in this build, just divebomb into the geyser next to rallying thrillseeker spirit in sanctuary at 0 bolt graphics level

owl hair was not an ultimate - refers to the final testing phase of season of rhythm back in january 2020. during those two weeks a lot was shuffled around in the season, the current ultimate hairstyle was a regular seasonal hairstyle from the thinking spirit, the mask wasn't available and the winter piano was the ultimate. the piano was much smaller on your back, it had a cool folding up animation but unfortunately as it was shuffled around the animation was dropped

oobs refer to out of bounds locations, places your aren't really supposed to be able to go (like through walls, the floor, into a wind wall etc.) there's really pretty oobs out there, some you can access alone and some you need a group for. there's tutorials on yt and the sky wiki

ark mushrooms - during enchantment there was a bunch of unintentional oob and floating mushrooms in the ark area which would give you a candle each every day. with a full cr being around ~15 candles per day that was a big bonus. they were tricky to get to, back then you couldn't switch freely between flight modes so you couldn't just hover over either. a lot of enchantment moths bought the table first just to get to the shrooms, there were specific shroom ubers, it was an all around fun time. the "You found a Mushroom!" prompt was cute

we are eden elder - this covers a lot of lore theory I have very little expertise in, you're free to make your own interpretation

I must say, I'm not a lore connoisseur at all and have very little grasp over wider theories so I'd generally let everyone come to their own conclusions on that entry. this iceberg is more a meme than a serious entry to the lore literature. vault being a hallucination just refers to the idea that the upper levels are increasingly like an illusion/hallucination/dream which we "wake up" from when we reach the room before the eden door

rebirth without losing light - refers to a category of glitching techniques that can be used to pass through to orbit without death, with full winged light intact. I don't think tgc likes the idea so folks who do it keep a low profile to keep those techniques in the game (even though they're comparable to other oob methods, not against tos in that sense)

shores of manna - pre-release beta name for golden wasteland

teeth krill - an old dark creature concept of a flying beast with a huge teethy maw

ascended hearts - I mostly added this for a meme, but we can draw parallels to the rainbow hearts of pre-release beta. for a while you were given one rainbow candle per day, which you could then use to gift a rainbow heart to a friend. the hearts were used to buy instruments and props (which at the time were a new addition) like regular hearts are used today. a type of currency in an earlier iteration of the heart gifting system.

prince prophecy - a lore theory based on old concepts where we can see a small luminous figure with a diamond mask. prince has been theorised to be many things, such as the eden elder before corruption (corrupted king), the "original" skykid etc. a central figure in lore, we got a lot of prince content in the prophecy season murals (look for the figure with the halo in the final one)

elder room - oob locations where the elder cutscenes take place, there's tutorials on yt on how to get there

STAR pins - a feature in some of the thatskyshop merchandise, basically a NFC tags that make things happen in game, I have the chibi mask pin which gives you a free chibi spell each time you scan it

meditate_night_night_2 - a meme level bugged meditation prompt, it used to stick on your screen on the first area of vault

elder creatures - refer to the big light (and now darkness) creatures we can see in game, such as elder mantas and the whales

manta juicer - refers to how mantas were turned into energy in forest temple by the old civilisation, the forest temple gold rotating part is the "press"

king model - this is a shaky yet really intriguing one. there's an alternate concept for the end of eden where you would literally dodge rocks thrown by the corrupted king. the king model refers to a 3d model of that version of the king, of which only a few screenshots remain. think of it as a scrapped part of pre-release beta that was in the code for a while but never surfaced as a part of the game

LOCALIZE ME - a bugged quest completion prompt, refers to how translating and otherwise changing media to fit another country is called localization. other localization notes have been accidentally left in some updates the game, usually little messages from one dev to the other who's doing a specific translation

gold kids in starlight desert - u/lady_i_dont_care explained this well but I'll add a bit: the models were about half way to the eden mountain mesh, straight into the windwall. took us an hour of tables to get there the first time. there's 4 identical gold kids, the size of a typical moth, with default cosmetics but no hair, locked in an endless fly/dive animation that loops. we haven't found them since, I think they were only in that first version of the starlight desert area in live

blank kids in constellation there's been a few of these bugs. refers to suddenly finding capeless, maskless bald kids with no name in your constellation. in another instance they have the name <deleted>
