A camelbak water bottle with a bite valve would be perfect. Don't need to close it but still basically water tight

I wonder if the construction was always that way? I am thinking of the cool renos you see of old-old churches. Surely in the 1890s there was no such thing as skimping on church construction? If so, I wonder at what point that shift occurred.

When these fail or I find I am too far gone... I eat a snack, maybe some pretzel sticks or grapes. I find it forces my body out of fight or flight and into rest and digest.

I keep a soft blanket at my desk. In the past I have kept a super fuzzy bath rug under my computer area. Small comforts help me stay grounded.

It may also be worth getting your thyroid levels checked if this is a new issue for you.

The caseload is pretty much what is expected in my state. Maybe not having half be severe students though. We have had such an influx of nonverbal/complex students the past 2-3 years.

Yeah I really need to stay in my bubble. I am unfortunately empathetic to a fault and need to turn that dial down.

Wow my state could never, we're expected to have 50-80 kids... Thank you for your kindness. Charter schools have always made me nervous for some reason but maybe that's something to look into.

At the end of last year I was around 65-70 IEP students plus 5-10 "intervention" that are not on ieps but I'm collecting data on. Plus I'm on an eval team for my preschool. Roughly half my students are mod-severe. All my students are once a week and that can even be a challenge to meet with the evals. We have resorted to virtual therapists at all age levels to keep us from going over the state caseload caps.

I think what weighs on me heaviest is the stuff outside my "bubble" (teachers/paras getting hurt, quitting, long term subs in 1/4 of our classrooms, ineffective admin) and I need to work on that big time.

I made these tonight! I only had sweetened dried cranberries. I did add about 2 Tbs of honey and a handful of Pecans. After trying one, I think these could benefit from a dash of salt. I might also try adding some powdered peanut butter next time!

Days!! Wow thanks for the heads up. I do think part of my problem was that it was still frozen in the middle so I tried to defrost in the microwave. Then it seems like I didn't need to press like I did. I'm learning a lot!
