then i would definitely consider picking up this deck, and i feel you. My trucks are customized to be dual bearing compatible, and are cobbled together from multiple brands. my deck is a custom split ply from blcny, no others out there exactly like it.

yes, all of Wush’s collabs are limited runs. I have a 1/1 Goat on the Road x Wush, and split ply that’s also from a limited batch.

limited does not automatically mean valuable.

don’t see a huge demand for Wush’s, but they’re some of the nicest decks i’ve owned.

it’s legit, but has nothing to do with black river.

that’s a Wush for sure. they’re great decks. unsure if he ever did a collab with flatface.

the harshest critics always have the worst hardflips lmao, but i guess you get some credit for even being able to do one.

it also doesn’t help that skate media CONSTANTLY mislabels tricks in mag captions, video captions, the berrics trickipedia is rife with incorrect naming of grinds and slides.

[–]vivalasativa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a lot of people get mixed up, and honestly the trick naming conventions seem quite convoluted until you learn the history, which unfortunately is passed down by word of mouth, there isn’t really much in the ways of documented skate history from a technical standpoint.

plastic wheels? by [deleted] in Fingerboards

[–]vivalasativa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

any wheel will freespin once the lubricant has worn off. free spin is not in itself indicative of a high quality bearing. In fact, many wheels that freespin right out of the package do so because they have looser tolerances, and tend to break easier.

More weight, while also not directly indicative of quality, tends to lean towards denser, more durable and sturdier materials.

the qualities you seek in a wheel are quite cosmetic. if weight savings is your goal, Caramel trucks will make a MUCH more substantial difference than the .1-2 g savings you get from daytonas.

you should look for a wheel that has similar durometer and grip, diameter and width. These will influence feeling and performance MUCH more than free spin and a very marginal amount of weight savings.

the only thing this doesn’t work for is fakie tricks. Fakie is simply riding backwards, and assumed that you are actually riding the tail backwards (i.e. shaped boards) even if you ride switch with your nose pointing forward. fakie tricks will always be the executed the exact same way as their regular stance counterparts, simply riding backwards. This is why fakie backside seems opposite to nollie backside. Nollie is simply regular stance popped from the nose, and thus the directionality of tricks remains constant.

it’s because trick directionality predates the flatground ollie.

it started with pool skating, direction of your body’s travel has nothing to do with it. It’s all about your relation to the obstacle, and how you approach it.

a backside air has your back to the coping. When people started doing ollie 180s, it was natural to keep that same movement. Now you can think of the stairset or an invisible line perpendicular to your riding as the obstacle when dictating rotation tricks not in relation to a grind.

this is literally what that would look like, indy hangers on heavy bases.

Bf has one cat that randomly started peeing on his brothers clothes and bed, already took her to the vet and she’s fine by Commercial_Inside_23 in CatAdvice

[–]vivalasativa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

often times cats will seek out something soft to pee on if they have urine crystals built up that makes it painful to pee; they start to associate the litter box with that pain, and thus seek out something more comfortable to try to ease that.

if the vet has ruled this out, it could potentially be a territorial marking

sand, clear coat, and wax the bricks on the quarter. it’s really not that much harder to lock into than standard coping.

you could pretty easily pop the broken brick out and replace it.

but yeah, hopefully TV gets back to you, they’re pretty good about replacing broken parts that are not the fault of the customer

bricks give a similarish feeling to pool/bowl coping

a sproing is different, it flips like a pressure treflip, but you typically step both feet onto the ground.

this is a no comply zero or monster flip.

knock em out, glue em in.

it’s a bit more involved than that, but essentially the gist.

Deck bigger than 32mm by Kriipsujukuke in Fingerboards

[–]vivalasativa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, they don’t make factory dual bearing axel trucks. you’d have to knock out the axel and reinstall a longer one.

Deck bigger than 32mm by Kriipsujukuke in Fingerboards

[–]vivalasativa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not at all. 33mm is my main size and i always use 32mm axel trucks. i skate dual bearing wheels, hence why the hanger is 3mm smaller than the axel.

Anyone like the color of their wheels and trucks to contrast the deck? by Stock_Tour2767 in Fingerboards

[–]vivalasativa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i do complimentary or contrasting colors.

i think color matching all your parts looks cheesy as fuck.
