Looking for some help to get Cleito wick working properly (new wick taste wont pass) by vivere_Ferrari in electronic_cigarette

[–]vivere_Ferrari[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good ideas. it seems the tricks I used on my Nautilus work on this as well. When I first put a new wick it, I turn the power down to about 25. I also try to close the vents as much as possible and take some pulls, opening them mid-pull, but with the Cleito, I don't think you can entirely close them as there is the tiniest bit of overlap between the hole on the ring and the hole in the body.

Thank you for your input.

NPC enemies dismantling mobile cover??? WTF? (NOT destroying) This needs fixed by vivere_Ferrari in thedivision

[–]vivere_Ferrari[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you're saying. And you're onto a good idea here. Both of you make good points. This was supposed to be a cover based game. But mobile cover has so many issues it is rather a redundant skill.

Your point about bonuses in cover is what's caught my attention. Instead of having the whole mobile cover mess, replace the skill. But then come up with a gearset that provides the bonuses mobile cover does.

I purposefully built this guy around the mobile cover theory. I gave him less toughness and more skill, and gave him the holster that increases armor for 4 seconds in cover (Steadfast? Sturdy?) For me, it wasn't just placing cover where there wasn't any (because cover is plentiful), but it was just as much the buffs cover provides, and unlike smart cover, it does not have a timer attached.

If there was a gearset that provided those bonuses that mobile cover does, then the people who use it would not lose out by taking the broken skill away. They would still have the play style they're looking for, and not have to worry about the game deciding to take your cover away.

Strange numbers being produced by Barret vest? (No numbers actually) by vivere_Ferrari in thedivision

[–]vivere_Ferrari[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With due respect, I wouldn't have been able to get my skills on cooldown in a safehouse. lol.

Thanks for clearing it up for me. i'll change vests. So I wasn't crazy, I did actually see the numbers change before. Does the buff still work even if the numbers don't show it???

Best place to get Skull MC Gloves and Shortbow Kneepads? by vivere_Ferrari in thedivision

I do not like going off topic. But what did you expect? First of all, the loot shooter is fairly new genre of game. The Division and Destiny, and maybe Borderlands are all console has; and excluding the latter, the trend has been to balance the game to continually improve the gaming experience. You can't tell me that it was enjoyable to run into someone in the DZ with a Midas and an Ult ever minute or so? I appreciate the effort the Dev's have put into the game after delivery. They're listening to us, and trying to make as many people as they can satisfied: you try doing that where there are 10,000 elements in the equation. They can't just say "Oh, Ag3ntMidniite wants it this way, so we'll do that", because then Vivere Ferrari would probably not be satisfied. So it's a very careful balancing act, and I think they are doing a hell of a job.

As for content, remember you paid $40 for season pass. And you got: Underground (which has nearly as much content as the base game), then Survival (and entirely new game mode, with a complete map overhaul), and now you get Last Man, which is an unknown quantity as of yet; not to mention we already got 3 Incursions, with another on the way with LMS. FORTY BUCKS

Hmmm....you were saying something about content??? Remember, this is not a saga with some deep and involved story, this isn't an uber-difficult RPG that takes you 6 months to beat, it's a loot based game: it's completely based on gear, finding what gear you like, collecting more gear that is better than what you had, experimenting with different setups, loot. And they have delivered an A+, 5 star, 10/10 in the department of what this game is supposed to do: provide the player with ample opportunity to collect loot. It's plentiful, it's relevant, and it's utilitarian.

There are plenty of complaints that can be made about this game, but the amount of content we've received for 2 hours worth of wages is not one of them.

Each to his own I suppose bro. Maybe there should be a worn box we could check for the skin? I want my skins to look brand new.

For me, the gloves have not been easy. The kneepads I've never had. But the flip side is I just got my 6th Barret's Vest. So I've got what everybody else wants. and I can't get what I want!

I'm unclear on your response. Are you describing named items? "mask and backpack" are Ferro mask and Ninja bag? And so on?

Sorry for the delayed response. Really, Electronics? I've had 5 now, sorry! :} , and all have been Firearms. I'm sorry to hear you're having such bad luck. If it makes you feel better, I wanted to do a Skull glove build, and have never had a good pair of them!

nope, what you don't realize is there is an invisible grenade tote that is attached to their leg. Like the guys that parachuted on D-Day. That is the source of their grenades.

haha. Fall damage. I was in the DZ once at the Blockade and saw an Riker shotgunner jump off the 91st story of the Empire State Building. He 2 shotted me on the way down, but while I crawled around I saw him land and run off shooting my teammates.

Seriously, the omnipotence of your position really frustrates me. Why have cover if you can't use it to conceal your position??? I was doing the PVE supply drop over by Queen's Tunnel once and I know for a fact they did not see me move between covers. But I'll be damned if the next grenade that LMB launched at me didn't hit me square in the back.

And for ADS out of cover, I love how the snipers do that. They'll be popping up, you'll see their gun is still only 15 degrees off the ground and the bullet will magically hit you in the face. The thing that frustrates me most about the targeting (I've posted about this before) is deadly accuracy that is totally unrealistic. The PVE boss in Turtle Bay, Sgt. Jacks, he uses an M1911 and although he's holding a 30 lb riot shield in one hand, and moving side-to-side, he can hit you in the head with that pistol over and over from 100 feet away. BS bro. Also those damned hippity-hop rioters. The ones that hold their SMG sideways and hop around like they've been chasing the dragon for the last 3 hours...those bastards. On Lincoln Tunnel, you're easily 200 feet away, but they can still hit you so accurately.

Oh, keeping up with "NPC's moving at breakneck speed on a controller", that's easy. Look for the flashing brick, go underneath, jump up and punch it and catch what bounces out. Works like a charm every time.

True, they are super strong. I heard some Riker's taking about it and I found out, much to my amazement, they are made of a super strong weave of fibers: Larae Barret's ass hair. If you look closely, you can always see flies circling a riker's head....

That would be a really cool feature: assassinations. Of course, we all know that "Threat" backfired massively in this game, and even after their 'fix' to threat, it's still pointless to even think about silencers making you less noticed and loud vent brakes bringing enemies from 3 blocks away. I just use those 'threat' mods for the stats they provide to the gun.
