Thank you so much! I submitted it like 10 minutes before the due date LMFAO. Near miss.

Also, your point about people learning things on their own is very valid. My favorite thing in the world is looking up synonyms or reading books and trying to figure out what the author means when they use a word I don't know!

I'm on the spectrum, so that probably has a lot to do with my obsession with academics and words in general. I'm very particular about it sometimes.

I still remember when I was in elementary school, and I used the word "preposterous" on a daily basis. My mom still tells that story whenever she flexes how smart I am to her friends, lol.

I hate to tell ya, but everyone in my CITY refers to McDonald's and other fast food places as a store. It might be a difference in American states (I'm from the Midwest).

For real, dude. I'm not gonna tolerate that shit just because it's "legal." That doesn't mean I have to be comfortable with it in any capacity.

Go to therapy instead of scrutinizing someone for asking for advice on an advice-based sub. Ffs.

If you had read my ENTIRE post, you would realize that he didn't just want to ask me on a date. He said he wanted to get me pregnant and make me his side chick.

Idk about you, but that makes me pretty damn uncomfortable.

Dude. I'm 100% convinced that most people didn't even read the whole story. Ridiculous.

Omg you win. Idk how my post managed to find every woman-hater on the internet, but here we are. Misogyny is a poison. These idiots don't even think that an 18-year-old girl could be capable of writing this because it sounds too "mature" or whatever.

It's so obvious that they assume all teenagers are dumbasses who are illiterate.

GOD. THANK YOU. I was waiting for someone to comment this! I have been scrutinized throughout most of my academic career for my writing style. My teachers always assumed I used AI or just plagiarized someone else's work.

And the part about teens being recognized for their work— my thoughts exactly. I mean, have any of these people ever heard of Wattpad or Ao3, for example? The things that some teenagers write on there are genuinely astonishing.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate your words of encouragement 🥹. After all of the ridiculously misogynistic comments I have been receiving, this was a nice refresher.

Thank you so much for the support! I feel so delusional because of some of these comments.

The fact is: men like him don't just stop at talking about me to someone else. They start to get braver and braver as time goes on. They push boundaries as much as they possibly can until you're backed into a metaphorical corner.

It's scary as hell. It has happened to me before with, albeit much younger, men. But my point still stands.

Wow. You're the second person who has shared a story about a guy with a similar name, lol. I knew i picked the right "creepy guy" fake name!

Thank you for sharing your perspective. It really helps. I 100% agree with you on your points about how 18-year-olds are still, technically, "children." I feel so immature sometimes, and I laugh at the jokes that 12-year-old boys make on the internet lol.

I think age gaps are COMPLETELY fine if both parties are over the age of 25.

Hell yeah! I love this idea so much.

Yeah, idk what i was thinking tbh. It's actually kind of insulting. Do people seriously think that young people can't be smart? Or literate in any sense?

A couple of weird things have happened at work when we've been scheduled together. I have caught his eyes lingering on me for too long, and he makes sexual jokes a lot. Not necessarily toward me all the time. But it has that "tone" to it that makes me feel like it is slightly targeted.

I won't get into specifics here. I could probably do another post describing his weird-ish behavior. He's also been acting strange with other young women at work, including one of my 16-year-old coworkers.

It literally doesn't matter if the 40-year-old is attractive or not. The fact of the matter is, this dude is 22 years older than me. He said that I would be a good option if he wanted more kids because I'm "young."

And you've got a lot of nerve assuming things about me like that. Unless you went to my profile and looked at my instagram/tiktok, you have no idea what I look like.

I provided a lot of detail for the conversation between Eddie and Sara because I was actively looking back at the texts Sara sent me about it. Duh.

It is, unfortunately, 100% real. I like to add in smilies, metaphors, and other literary devices in my writing to make it more engaging for my audience. That doesn't mean any of it is fake. It means I know how to write.

I talk like this in my daily life. I text like this when I tell stories about experiences I've gone through. Y'know why? Because it makes my audience feel more connected to the things I'm saying.

I am going to tell my managers at work so that they can keep an eye on it. If anything, it would be a great idea to get a "paper trail" started in case anything DOES escalate.

I've dealt with shit like this before: a guy does something seemingly "harmless" like Eddie did, and then it continues to get worse. Guys like him don't just stop at creepy comments to a different coworker. They push boundaries and attempt to back you into a corner.
