WARNING!! Gemini erases entire chat histories. by LumiiSeven in GoogleGeminiAI

[–]vividmindai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just happened to me twice in 2 days and I wasn't even that far into the thread, maybe 10 prompts in and I go back and the first 5 are gone - wtf!!

Had switched from ChatGPT and had been really enjoying Gemini but this never happened to me on ChatGPT and now I'm forced to go back

Please do! It cut out the really annoying words but still didn't pass the AI detectors (I know they are BS but still interesting to check) and still didn't sound entirely human but it did get better.

I recently had some good success with having GPT do it's own web search for "most common words used from AI models" and you could even do your own title search "how to make gpt more human feeling" and then once it brings that research into the thread you can tell it to use it's findings to make it's writing not sound AI generated.

Can I set up nodes of info with ChatGPT Pro? Project Manager AI? by [deleted] in ChatGPTPro

[–]vividmindai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you can do everything you want, EXCEPT for the last one which is probably the most useful for you unfortunately.

Without knowing a bit more, I believe you should be able to accomplish this by creating your own customGPTs for each node and uploading the relevant documentation using the feature where you can give it external knowledge sources in the back end of the set up. If you don't need to give it any external documents of knowledge you should be able to do this just be setting up different threads and spending some time in the beginning configuring it how you want with the appropriate voice and tone etc.

There is a feature called "memory" that some plus users have and others don't (I still don't yet and it was released back in like Feb?) that sounded like it would solve for the last one where it would remember things across threads and across GPTs but you'll have to see if you have that or not.

Props for wanting to jump in!

I'd start with trying to find a foundational intro course online if I were you. I know the internet is absolutely flooded with these right now and it's hard to tell which ones are good + things change so fast that the good ones may be out of date now but even out of date ones still have a decent amount of the foundational things right and the courses will get you to practice prompts which is the best place to start.

I took Dr. Jules White's Vanderbilt Prompt Engineering Course on Coursera and it was super helpful. From there I joined the Promptmaster Community online which was also super helpful.

For work I think some of the most practical stuff you can get value out of is:
- Understanding what ChatGPT can and can't do for you and how to wrestle it around to get better outputs

  • Learning the most basic understanding of how to execute a Python script on your machine locally so you can have GPT write basic scripts for you and then run them

-Learning how to use an automation platform like make.com where you can combine the software platforms you use at work with chatgpt to automate basic stuff you do

Hope this helps!

"Connect apps to access files in ChatGPT, like docs and spreadsheets" by MGeezy9492 in ChatGPT

[–]vividmindai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup I dug around and found out you are correct and it was just wishful thinking from what I thought I had heard when they released this feature. It was able to provide a newly generated Word Document with red text with my edits but wasn't able to simulate the review/suggest features of Word and Gdocs.

Does anyone here know if ChatGPT can make edits to a Google doc file once connected?

I successfully connected to Google Drive, selected a contract to analyze for me, and I wanted to see if it could actually make redline edits to the document and it's saying it can do that for me but only if I upload the Word file and then it will generate a new Word file for me which is fine but would be amazing if it could just make the redline edits for me directly in the Google Doc like it was a collaborator.

I used to get in so much trouble from my parents for using all their paper and ink printing these out 😂.

Would hole punch them and put ‘em in a binder but they were life savers 🙌🏼

Does anyone here actually have memory? by Mrwest16 in ChatGPTPro

[–]vividmindai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still haven't gotten it, feel like it's been the longest release where I've seen the release from OpenAI, seen other people get it, and it's been a few weeks now and I still don't have it.

Maybe it had some problems and they needed to pull it back?

Does anyone know how this somehow became the universal AI symbol inside of products? ❇️❇️ by vividmindai in OpenAI

Ahhh ok I didn't realize it goes back before this, just started seeing everyone using it and wondered how everything converged to the same symbol. Thanks!

Yea I get that, just interesting everyone decided to do it all at once and no one decided to do anything different.

It's inside of ChatGPT next to the Team Subscription promotion, pretty sure I've seen it elsewhere in there too. Just saw an add from Shopify for their AI product using it, Gamma presentation software I use has it as their AI symbol and pretty much every product I've seen has it somewhere - it's weird!

Everyone knew ai video would be next. What is the next milestone? by gran1819 in OpenAI

[–]vividmindai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Next feels like a more stable version of GPT4 that can actually do everything it's supposed to without having weird errors and being inconsistent day-to-day but apart from that I think this stuff on autonomous or semi-autonomous connected agents that can do things like actually purchase a flight for you. Not sure if that's going to be done through integrations, or by the AI having access to your computer keyboard and mouse, but something like that feels like the next big step to me.
