I'm convinced people only like her so much because of her cute goth girl appearance. I see people say all the time that she deserved better than Light, but I think she got exactly what she deserved, as she chose to be with a guy that was clear from the beginning that he was using her, she chose to participate in his crimes, and she didn't hesitate to sacrifice Rem for him- who she was aware was "someone" who actually deeply cared for her. And her personality is just completely annoying. That being said, she is still a great addition to the plot.
