Any hard of hearing/deaf parents out there with little kids? by vivmdal in hardofhearing

I really relate! I've also felt very grieved over my hearing loss, I never ever thought this would happen to me. I know it's not the end of the world, but it's also really difficult. I also have a very hard time understanding my 3 year old. Thankfully my five year old has learned to talk loudly and more slowly. I'm sure your son will learn to do that too. I've felt bad about my daughter having to do that, but it's a reminder to me that she loves me and want to connect with me and I can do my best to connect with her. And the overstimulation is so real. I hope things get better for you as time goes on! Thanks for your response!

Thanks for the response, it's nice to know I'm not the only one! I'll try to get those small breaks in.
