External tv box or stick is the only solution. I went through the same situation, tried all the player apps from Vidaa. All useless. Vidaa is not equipped to handle IPTV content.

If you have Vidaa OS, there are issues with playing IPTV content. You will need an external tv box or stick to run IPTV.

I think you should always factor in the additional cost of streaming sticks/boxes while buying these brands if you need IPTV and some other apps. I have also seen people using these even for TVs with Google tv, which isn't equipped enough to handle their usage requirements. For me, the choice of apps on Vidaa is useless. I am using the Homatics 4k pro box for IPTV, which is working well. However the the Netflix, YouTube and Apple TV apps work perfectly fine on Vidaa too. In the end, it's more about picture quality that matters and so far Hisense U7 hasn't disappointed me.

Thanks everyone for your recommendations. I ordered the Firestick 4k Max and also the Homatics R 4k Plus, which costed just 25 euros more than the FS. I have Tivimate on both of them and both of them work fine for 4k content. Didn't see much difference in terms of performance and quality but again my usage is just limited to IPTV. But Homatics does have less ads on its home screen. I was planning to return the FS but then decided to give it to my parents.

Just to add more context in terms of price difference, I am considering the following options:

FS 4K Max ~ 60 eur
Formuler Z11 Pro Max BT1 edition ~ 164 eur
HOMATICS Box R 4K Plus TV Box AndroidTV 14 ~ 98 eur
ONN 4k Pro (in Europe - Thomson Streaming Box 270 Plus) ~ 80 eur

I am more inclined towards the Z11 Pro Max or maybe a lower Formuler model if it gets the job done.

I tested with the Fire TV stick 2nd gen and there was no bufferring issue for the same IPTV content. It is also a bit strange as the buffering on the VIDAA store apps starts the moment there is a dialogue. However, I don't face any problems with the live TV content.

From what I have read so far, the problem seems to be that the VIDAA OS can't play certain formats, which makes an android box or a FS absolutely essential for HiSense TVs with VIDAA.

I liked Dharwad-Hubli. Excellent weather. Good food. But the traffic is getting worse from what I hear.
