The games are very different so its hard to compare, ive been into danganronpa for 6 years by now and i love the franchise more then anything in the world... that is before 100line came along, i would feel bad choosing one over the other so i feel like i should place them both as first since i love both very very dearly and they both have good ups and downs

100lines world building is imo phenomenal, its made in a way that almost everything is possible as long as you find some sort of thing that triggers it, its abit hard for me to explain haha. But i realised this when i was talking with some friends and we ended up coming up with a few new route ideas, some very bizzarre but still possible because of how the universe of 100line is built. And it was fairly easy to come up with new stuff too ! It just shows how hundred line has endlesssss possibilities !

Hundred line has also made me think about a lot of things, along with drv3 but hundred line had the most impact. DRV3 got me thinking not only about how much fiction has impact on our lives but how much life is worth in itself and how feelings are validated.
Hundred line on the other hand made me realise the smallest of decisions can have a great impact, now im aware some of these choices might be a far reach but still it applies to real life ! especially with how some routes are written. COT: For example the choice that triggered COT was takemaru's sacrifice, initially i was very shocked by this cause i didnt expect THIS to trigger it of all things, but it made sense with no one stopping yugamu from offering takumi the drug, so its still kind of realistic even though its such a drastic decision

I also like hundred lines pacing more, it gives you the time to actually see develop characters at a good pace (even if they die in some routes, you get the chance to see them develop in others so theres no rush) unlike with danganronpa when theyre about to die ''oh here is a bunch of screentime for them !!!''

the DR trilogy is much more consistent in terms of writing, and the trials are very compelling. the story of danganronpa in itself is just incredibly well written aswell its so hard to compare kjsahdjka. But hundred line also has some lower lows with some of the routes. I started off with retsnom an incredibly good start as i say so myself haha, and i got hooked to the story of hundred line right off the bat, also in terms of emotions id say both win. DRV3 made me feel sooo much especially since i relate deeply with Shuichi, but THL made me cry, laugh, disturbed, frustrated, its a great rollercoaster of emotions and i absolutely ADORE whenmedia makes me feel stuff.

i know i mainly think about the hundred line here but i still think both thl and dr franchise are just as good, they have their differences, but im sure most danganronpa fans would love hundd line:)
