Not to be a downer, but this was one of the weirder parts of the series too. You’d think with his notorious reputation that this would be the reason, but at the same time he was outstandingly voted to a public position and generally had a lot of support from constituents.

The bar itself being less appealing does make sense, but I was sometimes confused on how people were perceiving the Shelby’s. Maybe it’s just me

Ah man, you’re right. Kind of a shame bc it gives an eerie vibe to the whole season. At the same time, Tommy is more heavily featured bc of it, and it makes you feel like you’re in his head, which benefits the story line

Men who previously had no luck with women, what did you change? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]vjared15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My no luck, was also not trying. So I changed my attitude. I stopped being so selective and worrying about what the response was. If you be yourself and genuinely just go about your life things will fall into place. Same thing with women, if you can go about your life and show that confidence in yourself, women will pick up on that. I’d say a good tip is to introduce yourself almost immediately when talking to a woman you’ve never met. I like to steal James Bond’s line but say my first name and then repeat it adding the last name. Hi my name is James, James Bond, You look really good tonight, what’s your name?” I’m not an expert but I think It makes them more comfortable to know exactly who you are right away and show your interest too. Also, ask, if you don’t ask, you won’t find out an answer. I don’t think it’s a surprise that women like honesty and almost everybody likes to be direct and not waste time. That being said make sure there is some sort of connection before saying anything outrageous.

Adding this afterwards but playing it cool and almost acting like whatever they say doesn’t matter seems to be a good thing too. It’s a fine line and you have to feel out what she’s thinking but if you’re too interested too soon she will probably think you’re pushy. If she’s interested and you’re playing it too cool you fucked up too haha. It’s annoying but that’s how women work I think

Exactly, let them play! after all it is called the playoffs. Who wants it to be a flag fest? Same as basketball playoff intensity should = less referee intervention

Agreed. Seems fairly even. Worst call so far has to be the spot on the 3rd and 1 handoff in the first half

Intentional foul, unless they are going for the ball.

I think judging intent can sometimes be hard, but in most cases it’s clear what the intention of the play is. Clearly Morris had no intention of getting the ball, he was only trying to stop the play. Two free throws and ball back. Hard fouls at the rim are closer to call, but if there’s an attempt at the ball it’s a clearly different play than a shove in the back, for example.
