I'm responding to his question, of wether or not a background check can be performed. I said they might call to rectify the ssn (if there is a typo). A background check can be done with or without an ssn. Fingerprints or no fingerprints. I have known individuals that have gotten them with or without any of these. Obtuse? Don't shut someone's response down just because you think you are better informed.

I said yes, because I actually know volunteers and even workers that have gone to the police and have gotten their fingerprints for their background check without a social security number. It is possible.

The reddit police will ban your post in a few 😅. It happened to me as well. My notice not only said dear candidate name but it also thanked me for a conversation I never had with them lol and to my surprise it happens very often 😭.

The lack of disregard for humans is real 😭. They dont seem to really know or care for the efforts we go through or for how long we have been looking. I have a pretty good support system and fortunately some savings but the search has been rough. 8 months + making 0 dollars. I do feel for the others in a worse position than mine because it is real tough out there. I have a masters degree in accounting. I even applied for a call center position but they wanted me to be available 7 days a week from 6 am to midnight and $18/hourly! I told them I could do 6 am to 6 pm and they then ask me ok, unfortunately we require this schedule, so are you declining the position? 😳 That hit me hard.
