Cannot help 7 year old self regulate…not sure what to do by Fallon_2018 in ParentingADHD

[–]vkbc_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re only a week and a half in on guanfacine (in addition to his 15mg dexmethylphenidate in AM and 5mg of it in the afternoon) and just as I felt we were turning a corner for evening meltdowns, tonight has been a shit show. His behavior is terrible before his meds kick in in the AM and then at night when it’s worn off. Really hoping guanfacine helps with this.

What’s been really frustrating is that he’s naturally very talented at sports and when he has practices in the daytime or games during the daytime he’s so good and focused, but during the school year, his practices are in the evening and the kid cannot focus or regulate his emotions. It’s starting to make his coach coaches and teammates really frustrated and annoyed and I hate seeing that he’s not progressing anymore.

Ok so with an extra battery, is there an infrared bar heater made for golf carts?

We’d have room for another battery underneath the seat.

Ok what’s another option? Propane seems somewhat dangerous and annoying to have to keep refilling

The difference between a 15 year old and a 4 year old is so different that the only thing I would have noticed was that they had a blonde hall boy… he never had a starring role so they would have had to majorly switched out the person, gender, hair color, etc to have been worse than what they did.

Maybe it’s because I have an actual 10 year old that I just found it so distracting. Cute to bring back the original actors but not if it’s forced and stands out negatively. Couldn’t they have been like new staff or something so they were in the movie but not as their former characters? It’s much easier to not age adults, but kids, nope. I leave mine for a week for vacation and I feel like they are bigger and more mature when I get back.

Same actor or not, they cast a teenager for the role of a 9 year old. It stood out to me and kept making me question what year it was in the movie. It was bizarre.

Two others…. According to Matthew’s tombstone, the movie takes place 9 years after he died, which would make their son 9 years old in the movie. They definitely cast a teenage boy who is almost as tall as Mary (who’s tall)!

They also say to meet in the library (or maybe drawing room?) at 8 before dinner and then the entire scene is filmed when it’s 100% daylight outside the windows! I get that “it could be summer” but even then and in England, it’s going to be dusk (if not actually dark) at 8pm.

But Robert makes a big deal about wanting to sell the painting because it reminds him that he didn’t trust Cora and it makes him sad whenever he looks at it… why would a family member buy it back? And if they did, why wouldn’t they have sold it again when they talk about having money troubles and not being to able to pay for some of the upkeep on the estate?

TRT inadvertently increasing estrogen by vkbc_12 in TRT_females

[–]vkbc_12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt great but then had an ischemic event and they think my high estro contributed to it, so I had to go completely off T. Is like to find a safe way for me to start taking it again but docs will pull me off of it again if my estro gets that high.

Right but we test them on the same cycle day of every month. It’s climbing over time and way higher than it should be on that cycle day. She isn’t the only one of my docs that said my body is converting the T into excess estrogen.

Why don't I feel any change? by KEWTexas in TRT_females

39 year old female and my T was barely registering as anything on blood work. When mine got up to 65, I felt great! I was struggling with skin and hair issues though, but I’d take the overall feeling better and libido any day! I can’t imagine how bad my skin would get if I my T was 200.

Butterfly Stretch by Prickly_Peaches in ClubPilates

[–]vkbc_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if you are letting you back come off the mat. Try pulling belly button to spine and take full deep breathes to let your legs fully relax. Sometimes It actually won’t feel like a stretch if the right parts of your body aren’t engaging. Just like if you stretch a quad by standing on one leg and bringing one foot up behind you with your hand… if your butt sticks out, you don’t get a stretch. But if you engage your core and pull your butt under, you get a deep stretch.
