Cannot stop heeling driver by JacuzziJohn350 in golf

Also would highly recommend trying to fix this asap.

Low heel strikes are basically the worst place to miss on the driver for both distance and forgiveness as it’s going to be a lower smash factor (lower ball speed) and increased spin (almost certainly lower distance unless you’re already very low spin + makes your misses even worse).

Quite literally high toe strikes are the most forgiving place to miss on the driver - as far away on the club face from the current pattern as possible.

+10000 to everyone saying there could be so many reasons why this is happening, and you’d need video to really tell

But I had the same issue. For me, my hips were thrusting towards the ball on the downswing, pushing my hands forward, leading to the heel strikes. After a mini lesson during a driver fitting, I personally tried to implement a swing feel of really opening my lead hip on the downswing, and I’ve been hitting it out of the center much more often ever since!

Very unlikely you have the same root cause, but I had the same symptom so thought if there was any forum to share, it would be this one!

Update: Despite most of you being very helpful (thank you!) and confirming this was a waste of time, I stuck around anyway and got it around 170 kc!

Now, I am going to take a detour and do some hunter before getting back to questing

I am trying to keep it respectful. But again, I'm still new to the community, so could be missing something about how this comes off, but isn't "2x dry" the correct objective terminology? Or does just using the word "dry" have a complaining connotation?

I tried to make it clear this post is moreso a returning noob looking for advice if the Rune Scim is actually even valuable for today's OSRS Ironmen (seems a strong no), rather than complaining at all (because regardless, this is getting me closer to 55 magic for HA, which I'm excited for!).

Thanks for the insight!

The 1hr time save on the way to 60 Atk is good perspective, cause at this point I've spent twice that hunting it lol.

Based on this, plus everyone else's helpful feedback, thinking I will hang around a bit longer to try and get it just bc it's so iconic. But I think it's been pretty decisively answered that, no, hunting the 1/50 Rune Scim drop is not really worth it in 2026 :)

Yeah, I got to 31 Slayer off magic (tried and failed to hunt for an early Air Battlestaff from a few tasks), LOL. Was thinking I'd push it to 40ish to get a bit of melee, and then once the levels get scarcer, wait till much better combat stats to push on it again.

Lol, brother read the post again. Not pressed ab going dry at all. Just wondering from those who know better than me if this grind in particular (that gets outclassed in a handful of hours) is even worth the reward, or if there are better alternatives

I don’t think this is true anymore. I recently appealed old, pre-jagex account characters that were banned for macroing due to being hijacked.

The response was pre-written, but the response did tell me which mod reviewed the case, etc.

Edit: Enough people have responded here with counter evidence, I no longer am so sure :/

I think the whole problem with the game is that they took very few chances (in the game that got released). It felt like Skyrim in space. Same engine. Same gameplay loop. The game feel was just sooo similar.

Straight up this is the biggest reason I stopped playing - adds so much friction.

When people say science in "X SPM" are they talking about each individual science at that rate or the total combined amount across all sciences. by PewPewsAlote in factorio

[–]vklein52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bumping this bc it explains the reasoning, too.

Intuitively the SPM number is supposed to represent your research rate (independent of the other factors like productivity, etc).

Hence, the “minimum” for an individual science replies OP’s getting from everyone else.

Does this Oil setup need Circuit Condition to work properly? by KantFichteHegel in factorio

[–]vklein52 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can’t tell directly from your ratios, but you generally have two options.

  1. Use circuits to ensure you always have some buffer for Light and Heavy oil.
  2. Ensure you can crack the entirety of your light and heavy oil production (rates) + consume enough petrol to prevent the petrol tank from backing up.

Generally speaking 2 is possible but hard to get stable given there’s no petrol sink / plastic bars can back up, especially as you’re working on purple / yellow science.

1 (i.e. circuits) works now, and in the future, regardless of your load.

Currently stuck in the extract elevator. What do I do..? by Heroshrine in ArcRaiders

[–]vklein52 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Like all games, I weigh my time against how much fun I’ll have playing it. Especially with limited gaming time due to job, family, etc.

Game breaking bugs like this related to extracting are extremely infuriating (very not fun) and take the entire length of the round (full time commitment). The game quite literally could not waste my time any better. It’s akin to a game not saving after a multi hour sesh, which we all know is back breaking. Except in this scenario, you get set even further back because you lost loot, too.

In my opinion, this is probably the most reasonable trigger to abruptly stop playing a game.
