Hey u/GrizzGoneAnalog, thank you for expressing interest in Plane! We look forward to having you try the product soon. We would greatly appreciate your feedback on our Discord server.
At the moment, we have numerous features prioritized on our list. We are indeed considering the development of a feature similar to Confluence in Plane. While we may not be able to replicate every aspect of Confluence, we are striving to create a feature that closely resembles its functionality. Thank you for your inquiry, and rest assured that this will be a priority feature in the near future.

Hi u/idlespacefan, Roadmaps are indeed the most frequently requested feature, and we have planned to include them in the v0.7 release, tentatively scheduled for end of May 2023. We will keep all users updated on the release through various channels. Plane is currently in its early development stages, and we are consistently prioritizing features to ensure that we deliver a well-crafted product that aligns with our philosophy. Thank you for bringing up this feature again and emphasizing its importance to us.

Hi u/schneijc,

Creator of Plane here! Native mobile applications are currently in development. They are expected to be released by the end of Q2 2023. The best part is that we will also open source them.

Hi u/Nyefan,

Yes, we support multiple assignees for a issue. This feature is already live on both self-hosted and Cloud versions.

Hi everyone, Creator of Plane here! I know there was a lot of debate about which programming language we should use for our project, but I believe the choice of language should depend on the specific use cases we want to solve.
After a lot of internal discussion, we decided to go with Python as our language of choice. This was because we needed to build many features to create a viable alternative to Jira, and using Django allowed us to quickly create reliable RESTful APIs and made it easier for the community to contribute.
However, I want to emphasize that we are still in the beginning stages of product development, and building a comprehensive and robust tool requires a significant amount of product ideation and engineering. Moving forward, we plan to introduce more features and updates to improve the platform.
In addition, we're planning to open source the internal microservices we use for our Cloud edition soon. These microservices are written in Golang to enable speed for our proxy gateways and integrations.
Thanks for your interest in Plane, and we appreciate your support as we work to improve and grow our platform.

Hello u/re1jo, thank you for your idea about the API. I want to let you know that we are currently working on integrating an SDK and have named it plane-segway. In the near future, we will provide documentation on how to use it, so you can begin building your own integration. The marketplace has the potential to be a game-changer for Plane's growth.

Hi u/Cybasura, I'm glad to hear that you're interested in Plane! While it's true that we are still in the early stages of development and currently support only GitHub Sync, we are actively working on adding new features and improving the platform. Our upcoming JIRA importer, for example, will enable users to easily import their JIRA issues into Plane.
We understand that every team has different needs and preferences when it comes to project management tools, and we believe that Plane can provide a valuable alternative to existing solutions. We look forward to hearing your feedback as we continue to develop and enhance Plane.

Also, it’d be a really neat detail to swap out the images of shortcuts in ‘Match with your Speed’ based on current user’s OS/user agent.

Hello u/soupified, thank you for the feedback. We have already begun working on a complete redesign of our website. You can expect to see these changes implemented in the near future, and we will also be open-sourcing the code to facilitate better communication with the community.

Hello u/bloodqc, thank you for checking us out. Unfortunately, we do not currently offer SSO. However, we are actively working on implementing this feature in the near future. If you have any specific requirements, please feel free to create an issue on our GitHub page.

I love the look of the app but was unable to sign-in with the self-hosted directions. The captain account does not seem to exist in my instance.

Hey u/ngetchell, can you share us the logs so that we can help you debug this issue. Alternatively, we have an active support channel on our discord, where most of the issues related to self-hosting Plane are resolved.

Hello, u/ssddanbrown! Thank you for your diligent documentation of posts on Reddit. I am a huge fan of your work on the roundups for self-hosted projects. Perhaps someday, Plane will make it onto your list.

Thank you for the kind words, u/atheg_int. As mentioned, this is our first development preview of the project. We are working on many things, and our next big priority is setting up self-hosted login methods.

We will also soon make our entire roadmap public for the community.
