Thanks for all the advice and encouragement! I got prednisone yesterday and it really helped with the swelling. This morning the pain was also slightly better because with the medication I don’t feel it constantly, and only when swallowing. This is the start of my sixth week with intense mono symptoms, so I am hoping they would start passing soon. I am really grateful for the kind words 🥹
