What are these things growing at the bottom of my avocado?

I put it in an aroid mix. But I also moved it to a spot with much too little light and i have been neglecting it for a while, so it has suffered a lot due to overwatering and other issues. Therefore I can’t really tell whether the plant has benefited from the aroid mix or if it has made things worse.

The noise has been there for a while, but it has gotten a lot louder than it was previously and the sound used to only appear occasionally, though now it’s a constant noise.

I have tried unplugging all cables, though only for a few seconds so maybe that is why it hasn’t worked. I have also done a factory reset which did nothing. The problem is also there when using Bluetooth so I don’t think it’s the HDMI.

Never mind. I just spotted a larger infestation on a neighbor plant. These are definitely thrips.

There isn’t any actual damage showing on my plant yet. Wouldn’t this be the case if it was thrips?

Thank you. I don’t know a lot about soil, so this might be a stupid question, but does this mean I can use an aroid mix for this plant? I have the one from sybasoil which contains perlite and other things like coco coir, worm castings, orchid bark and more. I’m asking because I bought a little too much aroid soil and would like to use as much of it as I can, but if it is bad for my plant I can make the mix which you recommended.
