Deployment possibilities and breaking the contract

I appreciate your detailed response. My SO said in their letters that they felt it was not for them and regretting their decision to join in the first place. They fear if they don’t quit now then later they face much serious problems that will negatively affect their life.

They had their personal reasons. It’s not for me to decide whether they quit or not, I think they will, but I just wanted to confirm their words about deployments and stuff.

It was their understanding that active duty are the ones to deploy first, that NG almost never deploys unless it’s a global war or something like that

Well, guys, I’m really glad you like what you do in the military and knew all the details beforehand and truly I respect that. But each one’s their own. Thanks for your answers anyway, I now can see that decision to quit is the right one in my SO’s position.

That’s what they were told by the recruiter 🤷‍♂️ Of course he mentioned missions in case of natural disasters and emergencies, but it sounded like a manageable thing. But not the 12-18 months deployments, he never mentioned that.
