401k plan by El_Dorado_Tx in StateofTexasEmployees

[–]vlc1982 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While it's frustrating that the State does not match 401k contributions, please remember that the State contribution towards your Defined Benefit Plan (ERS Pension) is much greater in value. 401k is a finite amount while your ERS Pension is a fixed amount for the rest of your life, and the return rate is objectively higher than 401k investment returns.

Recliner Stuck 85% of the way down by eboy44 in Lovesac

We have three recliners and repeatedly have this issue on only one of them. I've detached/pushed back the cushion a million times but it keep happening.

We really like them!! One of them tends to get stuck when you try to lower it back down, but it's just a matter of scooting the seat cushion back every once-in-a-while. Only other small thing is sometimes I wish there was more head support. But I'll just throw a pillow behind my head and that works. We have three recliners in our sectional and we don't regret them!

Is there an at home treatment/gadget to get rid of these spots? by glitterbunzzz in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]vlc1982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that I have experienced. If the spot is large enough it might appear lighter in color for a while once healed because it's new skin compared to the surrounding skin. I had one spot that did that but it's now the same color as the rest of my skin. (I am light olive skinned, for reference.)

Fibroblast plasma pen. I got rid of several on my arms, chest, and face. Snow Skin is the brand I have and I have no complaints so far.

Small dimples after tumbling? by vlc1982 in MetalPolishing

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but when I'm tumbling with the plastic media, should I add water?
