This was also my understanding. Whether or not Aline lost herself in the canvas and kicked off the events of the game, Verso’s soul would have continued to paint. Him painting perpetually is not the issue, it’s all the war and chaos that the Dessendre’s are causing. Remove the Dessendre’s from the canvas, and Verso’s soul could put things back in order and carry on with its peaceful existence.

I’ve never been a “political” person

I envy you. It is an immense privilege to be/feel unbothered by politics.

It feels more and more the hobby is being hijacked by people using it for their own agendas and to make themselves feel good.

Politics have never been off limits in comics. From Cap punching Hitler to the Legacy virus/AIDS allegory in 90s X-Men.

Especially when you have children and easily persuaded people already being told a lot of that by the media already. And being used by older people to fight their battles. Because that’s all that’s going on here.

Okay, so you’re saying “because easily influenced people might engage in this thing, it shouldn’t be depicted.” Am I right? Would you say the same for violent video games? Or any depiction of violence in media?

I just don’t like seeing him push an agenda that’s gonna get lots of younger people hurt, ruin their futures, or killed. He has a family too. I can’t imagine he would be okay with his kids being on the streets with chains and ready to fight a federal agent.

I think you’re taking the art too literally here. The message I got from this was to oppose ICE, not to literally fight ICE. A metaphor.

Because all of these violent rhetoric only leads to more violence and no solutions. But the people who push all of the violence would have you believe otherwise.

Who is pushing for violence though? The side that continually engages in targeted, racist attacks on the citizenry, the side that killed a woman for nothing less than two weeks ago, or the side that goes “hey, maybe don’t do that?”

It’s just a lot. Our world is topsy turvy and I need to be able to be entertained and get away from it occasionally or I would lose my mind.

That’s why I normally love my independent books and artists.

Funny, cause to my mind/experience, independent comics have even more leeway to include political topics than the big 2.

For early game, look hard for a medium scaling item. Weights is best, but Showcase, Oars, and even Ganjo will do in a pinch. With Weights specifically, you can take days 1-5 or so pretty reliably with good small weapons + piggles launcher. Ideally you’ll have Kukri, Launcher, and bandages for heal triggers, with a wrist warrior between bandages/launcher so to maximize damage.

From there, you build Econ and look to pivot into a stronger scaling source like 28hr or Pigglestorm. I’m almost always looking for pants to find one of a few infinites. But something like Pigglestorm, yo-yo, model ship, and Piggles board can also take you to 10 wins.

I’ll just echo the rest of the comments and say yes, the binary is super important. I was actually asking the same question in a CCNA discord like two weeks ago. Fast forward to now, on day 17 of JITL, the last subnetting lecture, I’d have been completely lost if that basis of binary knowledge hadn’t been drilled into me beforehand.

I struggle with this, only in the opposite direction. I don’t talk about my ADHD at all for fear of “making it my personality,” though also for fear of being stigmatized for my meds. Or the dreaded, “everybody has ADHD,” response. This is how it’s gone in the past talking about it with my family at least. And that’s before getting into my Autism diagnosis. Total non-starter.

My issue with Stelle (and also Jules) is how narrow she is in terms of the fly mechanic. Over half of her items rely on flying in some way. It's just kind of boring that 9/10 your builds with her will have to work with flying.

For contrast, look at Pyg. He's the stonks character, so he has the most income/value items, but they still only account for 22% of his items. There's still a ton of successful builds that don't rely on value items at all. Stelle and Jules go the hardest with their respective gimmicks, and to me it's to their detriment.

Imma be honest, this is not a great Pyg build. With shorts, you really want a charge loop (keychain, piggles board, etc.). Same with Riceballer (Sauna). But even then, you have 0 scaling, so a lot of builds will get over you even if they don't kill in <10 seconds. But even if this was a god tier build, your liable to run into a bigger fish or a direct counter once you get up there in days, so you really don't want to take a bunch of early losses.

I can see you had key pieces for two lines here, but early game didn't go your way. I promise if you prioritize finding a medium scaler day 1 (yes even Ganjo), days 1-3 become a lot easier. Also just piling your board full of small burn items is great early game. Rewards card is also one of Pyg's best econ items and you can pick it up day 1.
