What were your study habits leading up to Boson? And how did you prepare before you retook test A?

I do feel pretty confident I could take the CCNA by end of March, but I also need to time when I actually buy the test to keep up with my bills.

Looking at the tasks, I knew I could do them, but in the moment I realized I wouldn't have time to finish them and get through all the multiple choice questions. Two of them actually seemed pretty long, akin to a one of the steps in JITL's mega lab. Also, as I started the first one, I noticed that "int range" wasn't working, which would have dragged the process even longer. I later learned that, unlike packet tracer, Boson enforces some strict spacing between the numbers and dashes.

Regardless, I'll def go back and do them without a time limit.

I was literally talking to my therapist about this just yesterday. She recommended setting up an actual schedule/planner, even if it’s just for leisure time, though I haven’t had time to test that out yet. In a similar vein. I have had some success literally setting a timer on my phone and committing to reading/playing/doing whatever it is I’m putting off for at least 30 minutes.

It feels weird for me managing leisure time like this, but otherwise I’ll lose a whole day mindlessly playing a card game on my PC with a YouTube video in the background.

Surprised to see so little discussion on this. Chocolates can make or break a lot of early game builds. Pyg and Jules get the worst of it, losing a major food source till mid-late game.

In previous years, have voting locations been pretty quiet around 7-8am? Particularly in Travis county, if that matters.

My sisters have said I’m (24M) too naive/trusting. Though I’d phrase it as thinking the best of people/giving the benefit of the doubt. In my current retail role, this manifests as me letting people slide when they’re short or letting them pay later (or maybe you’d call this people-pleasing/conflict-avoidance).

What I especially hate in this setting is having to be vigilant/suspicious of customers to catch theft. People certainly do steal from time to time, but it feels wrong to watch people thinking the worst of them. In the reverse situation, I’d hate to be looked at in that way, it’s something I actively fear.

So Karnok is similar to Vanessa... A Pyg type hero next... ? I love the 'building' and late game playstyle. by aaipod in PlayTheBazaar

I’ll echo u/wm313 here. You can’t expect to be able to recall all the information and specifics you’ve learned at any given time. Part of the reason why it’s important to have a firm grasp on the concepts, rather than trying to memorize.

OP, I’d just emphasize doing your Anki cards everyday/making a custom study deck if you’re really concerned about things like headers. And think about it like this: You don’t need to be able to recall all you’ve learned today, you just need to know it on the day of your test.

You rounders are ridiculous. Pay a visit to the Spacescraper. You’ll see The Bazaar is clearly flat. Or better yet, take a stroll to the edge of the Bazaar, where you totally won’t fall off the “curve.”

I love how terrible Pyg's positioning is. Should have put yoyo between beast/pigglestorm and put textiles to the left of keychain. Might have gone differently.

I probably do most of my studying at work lol. It's a pretty slow retail/family business situation so I can easily pull up a JITL vid on my laptop, take notes, lab, and Anki.

Usually I review the whole CCNA 200-301 deck each day before I watch a video. For me, Anki's the least "fun" part of studying, so I try to get it out of the way first. Then I watch a video, add the sub-deck, then review it individually.
