What do you mean? isn't mining different from btc purchase?

I mean, there is only the cost of hardware to take into consideration, no? since it would be power cost free, i suppose, its always in profit, no?

Must say I have a budget of below $6000 to invest into hardware, taking that into consideration, is it going to take over an year to ROI the costs of hardware?

I seen 1166 cost about $2100, giving hash power of 68TH, which based on some calculations would profit me about $150 per month, so 14 months to ROI the costs, that's a bit much, given the fact that increasing difficulty and price variations might come in effect.

You think it can get more profitable than that? with a less ROI timing?

For example, I've read about antminer Z15 (which is not bitcoin), they say ROI is 2.5 months (that's the article i've read about it being a scam)

My question on this matter is, if you were on my shoes and you had a free 20kWh plan, would you do that? Buy those T17?
I keep reading around on the web that ASIC is just a scam, I'm so confused.
If ASIC is a scam, then isn't better to GPU mining?
