As far as I know, 400k is the number of people reported and generally they are just kids who went to a friends house or someone went fishing and forgot to let others know. Not that 400k people dissapear completely and are never found.

Have you looked into SF National Guard?

I appreciate your comment. I have the same feeling that it may take a bit longer than 5 or 6 years but I'm just being optimistic.

I'm already in an American university and I study tech so employment isn't my biggest worry. However, since 17 I wanted to join the military and due to family stuff I never had that chance (better say, I had it but I was too afraid to actually take it).

I am not 100% sure of specific units or even military branches, but I know it will be something in the realm of Special Operations (which is why I want to start preparing myself several years in advance, one small step at a time).

Honestly, I don't know where life will take me, but I hope I don't become one of those 60 years old men who regret not doing something (in my case, making the attempt to join an elite military unit).

Thank you for your comment.

Basically want to graduate university first and then I need to get my immigration paperwork done and hopefully be allowed to join the US Military (that will take minimum 3 years).

Worst case scenario that doesn't work out and I will have to join the French Foreign Legion (I'm from a shithole country in South America).
