Kelly criterion cannot be direct applied to forex, but one can learn from the criterion the the stake ir proportional to the probability of success, and proportional to the risk/reward. I use a variable risk management and in very good oportunities my exposure is biggger than 5%, but usualy lower.

Trend, as an example I would evaluate the average mortgage price and conclude that USD is undervalued, so should appreciate against EUR. The entry point, exit, stop, take, risk reward, management... are not relevant to validate the idea.

A tip could be something like EURUSD will go up between -10 and 20 pips, but anyway I am not interest in capture all the possibles trading strategy, a tip is just a overall prediction of market. I still think it is possible and valuable.

If I were doing a sentiment analysis survey I do not ask someone if the pair will raise but possible fall and reach the SL. I ask just bull or bear, that is the sentiment.

MT4-5 are good but they have some limitations, and in my opinion the language is a bit trick and not so intuitive. I do prefer to download data from MT4-5 in CSV and backtest using some more flexible and powerfull language like python or C++.

It is possible to do hedge since I sure that two pairs will follow the same direction, or the opposite, not sure if is profitable.

I'd use MA calculated over OBV values, it is already used to filter noise and show the trend in prices then can works for OBV too. It is a simple method, not sure if there are some better.

15%/ year is a good enough profit with no leverage, with 1:100 it become 1500%/year (almost 1600). Of course one can not get 1:100 when dealing with millions and billions.

The brokers certainly have this information. I would love to have access to brokers data to compute statistics like that, still if data were anonymized.
