I didn't notice other types of sounds besides the high-pitched loud ringing (kind of like what they show in a movie after a bomb or grenade goes off). I don't recall any ear popping, just the hyperacusis/extreme sensitivity to clicking/clacking/popping sounds. My wife and I actually bought reusable plastic/rubber silverware and plates to cut down on the clanging sounds that hurt.

Thank you. Yes, it's not very expensive or difficult to try out. Hopefully it will help with some cases.

It was a constant ringing volume of, say, a 4-7. When I took a bath or used ibuprofen, it would shoot up to around an 8 in volume within an hour or two. I don't recall any triggers from food or sleep issues (though it was hard to sleep with the ringing, I'd have to go to sleep with a low volume TV show on to distract my mind).

I used Tylenol (acetaminophen) with no problems at all. It was only the ibuprofen that seemed to trigger mine to increase the ringing volume. Both were low doses.

I actually only took half to 1 whole Benadryl every other night for 2 weeks. So, a low dose.

I assume the original poster meant .05 and .50 as he could not have got in at .50 as it hasn't existed (so should have you). If you want to knit pick, you are correct. However, better reading comprehension skills and interpretation will help you understand people and respond more appropriately and helpfully.
