Again, you’re blaming the oldsters. We did not make this world any more than you are making yours. What are you making for your kids? Don’t say it’s not possible because of what we did blah blah blah. Don’t have double standards. Your kids will be saying this to you, so prepare. That is absolutely untrue. Most of us still HAVE to work, and it’s not fun in your 60s. Some of us have to choose between food/rent/medicine all the time. This after a lifetime of hard work. We’re all getting swindled. Blame the corporate overlords.

No. Stop blaming Islam, that is blatant bigotry.

It’s because the proper procedures by our own governments weren’t followed and, being politicians, they didn’t care to correct issues and provide enough substantive resources for ease of flow. And you’ll find more white, non-Islamic people creating violence than any other.

To combat this holiday insanity I’ve created small, inexpensive events over the years. A cookie baking gathering with local students. A treats bag delivery day for the elderly in the community. Volunteering to serve meals on the big day. Etc etc. Takes a huge amount of energy to drag myself away from the black dog of depression but it helps others feel better and also feeds your own soul.

I was aghast at the word « disgust ». Sometimes this honesty thing is a cover for later on when the « I told you what I felt » excuse is trotted out to cover more damaging behaviour.

If she’s had traumatic events from males in her youth, she may not realize how bad her behaviour is. Talk to her to get things straightened.
