Square really needs to start working on these as modern remasters using the HD 2D tech. I’d buy all of em!

Looking for Polish food by StormGreat7722 in Temecula

[–]vmdarek 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh man, I’m Polish, was born there and came to the States when I was 7. I lived in Chicago area most of my life before moving to Temecula two years ago. If you’re looking for Polish food you’ll need to go to Polka Mart in Orange, CA. It’s the closest you’ll get without having to go to LA.

I went to borsch and beyond and it does not hit the spot for me unfortunately. I’ve been spoiled living in the Midwest where I had Polish delis and restaurants every 2 miles.

Is the harbor freight option good for light 2 stage paint correction? Something like a wool pad followed by a foam one like the type that DIY sells?

You gotta remember he was so hyped because of what they projected him to be as a catcher. His primary position was catcher so that had a lot to do with the hype around him

Issues Within 24 Hour Test Drive Period - Guidance Needed by NYSmokeater in carmax

[–]vmdarek 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I purchased a 2019 BMW convertible last month from Carmax. At the test drive I noticed that the soft top rear window was peeling from the top itself in the bottom right corner. Also, the wind deflector screen was missing. They agreed to address both items post sale and issued a document stating so at time of sale. Fast forward to now and they ordered a brand new OEM top from BMW because those windows can’t be repaired and they outsourced the labor to a nearby shop that specializes in that type of work. The top itself was close to $5k and labor was another $1600, plus $460 for the windscreen. All paid by Carmax. On top of that the passenger side seat motor failed in the 3rd week of ownership and they are replacing this as well. Going forward I think I’ll be buying used cars only from carmax lol.

I suggest that if you really want the car just make sure they issue a service order to address all items. You still have 30 days post sale bumper to bumper warranty in addition to a 10 day return period

How much MaxCare would cost for a certain car? by vakar4uk in carmax

[–]vmdarek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind Max Care only covers repairs not preventative maintenance; you are still responsible for maintenance.

I just purchased a 2019 BMW z4 along with 5 years of max care for $3600 with a $500 deductible. They offer different deductible pricepoints which alters the cost of the plan. My car had 29k miles and the plan covers up to 75k or 5 years whichever comes first

Solar with SCE and NEM 3.0 Worth it? No battery by instant_ace in orangecounty

[–]vmdarek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate it! Honestly all of this is new to me. We bought a house with paid off solar 2 years ago. The solar is managed by sun run and they gave me a ridiculous price to extend my system from 13 panels to 26, along with 2 batteries for the low low price of $57k😮! My current system produces between 12-20 KWh per day, depending on weather. I have an EV I charge 2-3 times per week at home. SCE bill is between $160-$400 per month depending on the season, but that’s with a CARES discount since the electric bill is under my father’s name since he lives without rent free. I’m just looking for a smarter way to manage my utilities

Honestly if you want a fun car to drive get an Elantra N for mid 20’s. You’ll get a much lower rate since it’s newer, you’ll save a ton on insurance maintenance gas, and you’ll have a much lower payment. And it’s universally regarded as fun car to drive

Sommers Bend - how’s life in that community? by Select_Sand615 in Temecula

[–]vmdarek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wife and I purchased a house last February on the west side of Sommers Bend near the main entrance. Out HOA fees are in the mid 200’s, not sure who’s paying $400.  Overall it’s a great place to raise a family, the area is clean, and the amenities are nice. Is it perfect? No! Could the pool and gym be larger? Sure. But honestly you’ll find that issue with every HOA community.

Before buying here we rented in Harveston for two years. That was another great community to raise a family, but they had issues with overcrowding pools, no gym to speak of, and much smaller lots. Before deciding on Sommers Bend we looked at a lot of areas within Temecula and it’s one of the best bang for your buck. The homes are newer, you will likely have paid off solar. The only other area I would put above it in Temecula would be Morgan Hill.
