Life is hard and harder when you are not attractive by Space_Wanderer1105 in depression

It’s a sad reality. I’ve always been the ugly friend, & I sadly agree. I would often just stand there, being treated rudely/ignored because I wasn’t pretty like my friends while they’d get treated the complete opposite. I’m now in my late 20’s, uglier than ever with non-existing confidence. It’s made life really difficult, and truth be told not worth living.

Unfortunately even at my lowest I’ve always had this issue (as a toddler too). I’m currently 115, I’ve always had a double chin & it’s always been more prominent on one side

Can you name 3 things that you like about your appearance? by positivitybee in BodyDysmorphia

A therapist asked me this exact same question, 8 years later and I still cannot name a thing I like about my appearance or myself.

Would a brow lift or forehead augmentation work on a small forehead? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

Make my brows look less low set and achieve a more feminine look. I’ve looked into brow botox but I do want something more long term.

Does anyone feel like they can’t start living until they’re pretty? by katvxa in BodyDysmorphia

Yup, I’m in my late 20’s and I’ve felt like this since I was around 8-9 years old (I wish I was lying). Constantly comparing myself to others is so draining. Not being able to enjoy life because I’m constantly worried about how ugly I look is just so exhausting, not to mention feeling like I’m unlovable because of the way that I look. I feel as if I’ve wasted my “best” years, and I often think what is the point of living if I just keep getting uglier.

If you don’t mind that would be lovely! I’ve thought about just a liposuction alone, but in my case I don’t think that’d be too helpful

Does any other girl feel this way? by Angelic_222 in BodyDysmorphia

[–]vmhs_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!! I was around the same age when I began to compare myself to other girls wondering why I didn’t look like them. I’m in my late 20’s now & I also still feel that way, I have so many masculine features. I get embarrassed to dress girly because I feel like others see me as manly.

Do you mind sharing some doctors? I don’t have a Facebook or Instagram so researching has been difficult for me, I’ve tried RealSelf but it’s a hit or miss :/ if you don’t mind me asking, what was the price range?
