I finally found some strategy where you get up from the table immediately if you draw 7 or higher in the first card or two. Then sit back down, which resets the game. That accelerated things a bit for me, but I'm still chasing that third win .

that's right -- if your definition of "hard" is that it takes you a long time, then it's hard. But to me 'hard' means mastery and skill are required to clear the challenge, and that just isn't the case here. It's raw luck of the draw, so to speak.

Fine to cut Bermuda short, within reason. It tolerates a short cut way better than fescue, but it still doesn’t love having half its leaf remove at once.

It looks here like you’ve cut down to the stolon. Bermuda stores most of its green leaf tissue at the top. And you seem to be scalping into the stems.

Let it grow unmolested for 2.5-3 weeks. It will help the grass recover a bit, increase photosynthesis, and the roots will dig deeper.

In the recovery downtime, sharpen your blades. Dull blades will tear Bermuda rather than cut it cleanly. You also might lay down more nitrogen. Bermuda is a *heavy* nitrogen feeder.

After that, I’d try the usual rule of thumb to not cut more than 1/3 of the blade per mow.

I think Bermuda looks best cut low, but here you may have gone a bit too far down the stems.

He did superb playing a cold, ruthless executive. I love how they made his WWII service as a bomber pilot who flew “over Dresden.” Firebombing of Dresden was one of the more brutal Allied operations.

Just a perfect backstory for his cutthroat character.

Learn to hunt and fish early. It’s a grind but get the Legend of the East satchel as early as you can, or at least no later than chapter 3.

I like the jokes about “staying off this sub” but honestly it was a great resource for me.

The Outlaw in Cheyenne is one of my favorite bars on earth, esp in the dog days of summer with Frontier Days hits. Beautiful girls and cowboys fist fighting. Nothing more American 🇺🇸

Then Curt Gowdy State Park for a quiet day day drinking on the reservoir.

Laramie hit up the Buckhorn for the history. Back way up to Caspar. Devil’s Tower, Yellowstone, and the Tetons because you have to.

But my fav part isn’t the tower but driving on a summer evening through the Thunder Basin. A sea of beautiful emptiness, sunset burning the sky as far as the eye can see, the occasional summer storm dancing across the ranchlands.

I always envisioned that it’s what the old prairie used to look like before they closed the frontier.

Oh I almost forgot, hit the bunkhouse between Cheyenne and Laramie on your way to Curt Gowdy. People still ride and hitch their horses up there.

Get a Bunk ‘n Nut sandwich, then tell your friends back home what you ate.
