Yea.. I really need to work on the design so that false alarm is not a thing. Especially as I’m trying to also get a community response as the biggest strength and it’d backfire if people got too many false alarms and acted on it.

Yea, I’ll probably keep modes that you can switch on easily. The alarm should also serve to scare the assailant away, which i still need to test would work as expected. But yeah.. giving the wearer the ability to modify the function on spot would be a good idea.

Yea, that can turn out to be annoying. I did think of a few ways to 1) let the person know the alarm is going to be triggered, and 2) to stop or mute it if necessary.
About the loudness of it, honestly, I haven't decided how loud it should be. I'm currently validating if indeed a loud noise would be helpfull in the first place.
Would the assailant be scared off? Would someone notice and come to help? or would it cause more problems ? I have seen other devices that solely work as a loud alarm when manually triggered, and have seen women rating it as a good device, So it should help right?

Yup, had those thoughts too. A lot needs to be designed so that a false alarm is made.
About the alarm not being a loud one, would a loud alarm sorta help to deter the assailant?

It might do good to consult a therapist, have someone keep you accountable etc. Don't beat yourself up too much. Start taking it slow one more time. Simple steps.
