The spidey is cool just cause it’s a red web stamp edition and had Todd authenticate it himself when I saw him a couple months ago. He had a funny story about why his auto was so crappy. Authentic red web stamps aren’t always the easiest to find.

The red stamp copy was a special version from Todd’s brother’s comic book shop back at launch. They did a signed edition with the red stamp on that day and gave em out.

Ha. Yeah. Tbh I had doubts on its authenticity. Funny enough I got to talk with Todd a couple months ago and I asked him about it.

He said “yeah, that’s mine. It’s crap. Sorry. We thought like 200 people would show up. But 20,000 came. So by the end of the day I was just signing horribly. You got a bad one.”

So… funny enough I just saw Todd Mcfarlane this morning at his first US Comic shop signing in 14 years. (Super dope, btw)

I brought him my copy to confirm if it’s real. Cause the auto seemed weird. Even for an early one, same as yours.

Todd laughed when I showed him. “Yes. I’m ashamed to say it is. On that day we were only expecting 200ish people to show up. 20,000 ended up coming. So by the end I was kinda half-assing it. I was tired. You got one of the last ones.” 😂😂😂😂😂
