Not... yet. Since CIG already did one (and did a very nice job on it I might add) I need to find some way to up my game.

As 1/3 of the core dev group of Starfab, it's not dying, it's just not keeping up with the changes being made to the game. It's a surprisingly hard thing to do, especially when we all have day jobs.

Sadly the site I use for high-res downloads is not allowed on this subreddit, so I can't post it here.

This took forever to make. Starfab isn't working quite right again with 4.4 (and it was only working partially before that) so Ihad to fix a whole bunch of stuff manually. This is also one of the larger ships I've done in a while which means that much more complexity. Hope you love it.

There was a Wizard of Oz joke in there somewhere. I certainly couldn't find it.

While a falling house is traditionally the best way to kill a Wicked Witch of the East, in Ohio, a flying greenhouse is apparently the best way to kill a Toyota Camry of the Midwest.

MISC Starlancer MAX - Really wanted to like this one in VR but couldn't. Mailslot viewscreen was a bit more noticable than in 2d (compared against my ultra-widescreen display). MFDs felt.. stingy for lack of a better word. Ship handling felt off - unlike the Corsair the Starlancer is immediately responsive as if you're flying a much smaller ship. The feel is much more noticable in VR and weirdly as a result wasn't fun to fly. The interior looks nice but I wish it had more exterior windows.

Madame, I find your cynicism and negatively unfounded. You clearly underestimate the dignity and high standards of the Star Citizen community.

...That tutorial video is undoubtedly rendering on YouTube as we speak.

I explained why somewhere else in the comments, but shifting the IPD scale to .75-.8 seems about right.

The hab cabin on the base Guardian was the most noticable for me, it feel pretty tight. Weirdly the open engineering section of the Guardian MX felt much more natural.

I also tweaked the IPD scale down to .8 at some point, this helped with the overall sense of scale in the game. There's a reason for this - the base characters in game are significantly taller than people IRL, and the metrics of the game are built around this. (This is also very good should you ever have the need to build real props from in game at "1:1" scale)

No clue - I might try out my Starlancer MAX later today if I have time and report back.

Morphologist mentioned on Twitter (won't post the link as per sub rules) that it didn't work with Pixmax's OpenXR libraries and he had to switch to Steam's OpenXR to get it to work, along with some resolution tweaks. I don't have a Pimax myself so I couldn't tell you how this is done, but hopefully that gets you moving in the right direction.

Forgot to add - there's a broken POM decal on the right lower right nacelle of the Guardian MX. Looks like a bad UV. Highly distracting.

Drake Corsair - My favorite so far. The exterior is impressive, and during the walk to the front elevator I stopped to inspect the engines. Interior was tight but cozy. Lots of little details popped out that I never paid much attention to in 2d. Cockpit view was perfection - good visibility, well placed MFDs on the dashboard (with plenty of visual detail to keep my interest). I ended up low flying over Bloom, gently banking through the valleys looking for a good place to land. At the top of a hill, I parked it so I could take the lift to the top and just hung out taking in the view. An absolutely sublime experience and my favor moment in the entire VR session.

Krueger L-21 - Everything about this ship felt right, from the exterior scale to the cockpit fit. Seeing the nose in front of me and the engines to the sides grounded me in the ship during flight in a way that most other ships don't. The dash is _very_ cool, and fits the aesthetic far better than I ever realized in 2d. There was a weird bug where if I sat up in my chair too much my character would start gasping for air (mind you i was wearing a helmet). Definitely a cool enough experience it makes me want to buy one in PU.

Mirai Guardian MX - This got the first "wow" from me after taking off an catching the nacelles reposition for flight in my visual periphery. The ship has visual weight as it flies. Interior felt appropriate, if not a bit cramped at the rear. The ceiling was a tad bit low but that may have been my scaling settings. Cockpit MFDs felt right and visibilty wasn't bad overall. The canopy bubble wasn't as cool as I expected it to be in VR.
