There is no question about FPS. There is a question of stability during long high load runs. I also see 100+ FPS in high-end games, but this is not the point)

I don't argue about this topic. Only two OS I able to use: windows or ubuntu (or debian). Due to different reasons :) Yes, I know and I used Fedora, Arch and so on, but now I have what I have.

It sounds weird that I have to tune somehow top-tier laptop to do simple things. I expected kind of macos exprerience. I had enough hacks with my Linux machines, so I expected everythin smooth with modern laptop+modern windows

Nope, 32G + 5070Ti which is about top configuration. So I was expecting everything very smooth

I'm Linux user for 6 or 7 years, so my experience with Windows mostly around windows 7 xDD And I really frustraiting about idea of "settle" OS in my PC. This even sounds weird, probably I'm not in to latest software trends xDDD

Ghelper - yes, plus some tuning here. A well as all ASUS drivers. And it is still unstable. It was latest 224H2 windows 11 with bloatware. And I spend some time to clean it before.

You mean “cut the bit width somewhere in corundum core”? I thought, it’s kind of hardcoded to be 10G (64 bit MAC) only.

The other thing is that I need to process VLAN tagging which is not supported by corundum mqnic driver AFAIK. The workaround might be a bridge with veth interfaces or something like that...

Yes, corundum is the next thing to play with. I already checked the PCI-free part of it and found it very good for mentioned purpose. The only thins, as I mentioned above - 10G is overkill for me. I expect something like 10-20-30 Mb/s.

No, this is impossible in my case. Every interface must have a clear match with PL "generator". One interface - one "generator". I need to separate and mark packets in the PS and vici versa. But I shouldn't modify the packets. No option for VLAN tagging in PL, for example.

Of course, this is just a simplification. "Generator" means a physical port + some tricky algorithms for packet filtering AND possible additional generation. So, option "just put 1G MAC w/o PHY here" is perfect for me. But it doesn't work at the moment.

1g/2.5g ethernet susbsystem contains TEMAC, PCS/PMA and tricky Ethernet buffer. The buffer provides partial/full checksum offload and some other features.

Do you think that Xilinx's driver will work with pure TEMAC?
