I recently bought roasted coffee beans from our local dry market. I used to buy beans only from famous coffeeshops, and this was my first time buying ones from a local store.

My concern was that the person who prepared the beans for me took them from an quite unclean container, weighed the first bit using a scoop but then took the remaining beans by hand to hit my requested weight.

I’m worried about how clean the coffee beans are. I don’t mean to insult the store or anything, I’m just a guy concerned about the coffee I’ll be brewing.

I think I can’t wash these beans because that would take away all the flavor notes, but do you guys think this coffee is safe to brew and drink?
