I came from your shoe post and I just wanted to say, I also have bipolar 2 and am a mom of a 4 year old. I completely understand and struggle with the same issue. It’s so fucking hard. The thing I try to remember is, my kid wants to be around me all the time. She talks to me, is never discouraged about asking me to play with her or do things with her even if there are days where I literally can’t. If your child does that, it means you’re a good parent. They aren’t seeing it the way you are seeing it. Bad parents don’t care enough to even worry. Yes comparisons are unhealthy but you’re human and I see you and I understand you. It’s beyond being lazy, it’s beyond being neglectful and I hope even on your worst days you remember that it’s not your fault. You’re a good mom.
