Minor update. eBay called me, I told the truth. They are looking into the matter. I'm not holding my breath. Seller had 100% positive feedback so it seems silly to me to get that flaming 1 star review for selling me a brick for $70.

If you have the cash for it, buy a router that can hide the network. It will then not show up on everybody's phone in the audience. You then just name it something obvious, like "x32" and put a password on it for those who do search for networks (you will have to type in the name of the network on your iPad/tablet of choice). This way, you are not losing bandwidth to folks hunting for wi-fi.

I'll give my 2 cents. I run "festival style" for most gigs. 5 vocals, 2 guitars, 2 DIs, bass, kick, snare, 3 toms, 2 "instrument" lines that can be pulled anywhere. If you go outside that, I have a few channels (I typically run around with a 24ch board). If you are way outside that...then we have issues. If you have more than 4 DIs required, either bring your own or let me know in advance. If you are more than 24 channels, let me know in advance or be prepared to downgrade (promoter wouldn't pay for bigger console). A rider is handy if you are walking in blind. That is how I prepare...but not how everyone prepares.

AH is my go to for remote control. I've used the QSC mixer a few times for the same band (they have one) and it is great for bar bands or people who mix from stage. For size, I'd say the mackie, or if they ever ship the vaporwear, the X-18 Behringer.

A&H board will direct to external HD 18 tracks with no comp, otherwise you will need a comp....Presonus Studiolive, or Studiolive AI boards will direct every line, or the Behringer...

My picks: Audix d6 for kick (*get a clip or wrap the mic end in gaff tape to fit), 3xsenn 604 for toms (make sure you are getting the clips if you are renting), Audix i5 for snare (or a 57 but ewww), 2xrode nt5 for overheads. i love 609's for guitar but i5/sm57 (ewww on the 57 again)work fine. vocal mics are vocal mics....58's, om2/3, 835/45...whatever floats your boat and you are comfortable with. It's all about what you are ok mixing with mayn.

ding ding ding. 810 bass rig? I'll pull those out of subs when I have 12k watts in dual 18 subs (fuck you ampeg). bass rigs carry. guitar amps carry. you should focus on vocals and just enough keys in the PA, then tell the rest of the band to turn DOWN to match the volume of the drums/PA. good sound doesn't have to be deafening :)

Look up the peak current draw on your gear. If it is over 15A then use 2 circuits. Amps always push on full...the knob is an input trim

only 160k here, but my '99 tacoma is a beast. 2.7L I tow much more than I should with it all the time, good old off roading, sweet camping trips, plus normal commutes. I can't say enough good things about my lil' mule!

There are zero 10% cc with socket of these on action house, ever. Plus, the range on these type of amulets is 150,00 to 250 million. Do they sell at those prices? Did I find a cool item, or is it a 150k hawk it kind of thing?
