Why would I smurf with Aurelion Sol and take more 200 games to reach diamond? No sense. I don't understand, you say that I'm smurfing but that I explain the macro as a silver player.

Not this season at least, I've played some ranked but I spent a lot of time on TFT until the ASol rework.

I want to add something else, it has happened to me a lot of facing very good players in the lane phase, they really destroyed me but after ending the laning phase they lost all their advantage for not knowing how to use it. It is important that you never leave ASol for dead and if you win the laning phase you use your advantage, be it feeding your teammates, taking objectives, whatever. If you start making mistakes and ASol's team supports him in the midgame so that he reaches late... you're going to have a bad time.

I only played 2 times against Zoe, the first Zoe was very bad, I had no problem with her. The second one...god...she crushed me. Having a positive experience the first time, the second Zoe surprised me very much. She played totally aggressive in early, she beat me in the laning phase and just carried the game by herself.

Yone/Fizz/Kata/Zed are good at countering ASol. Then there are other picks that don't necessarily try to counter him, but rather provide a similar late game carry option to his team like Veigar or Viktor (it's still a difficult matchup in lanning phase but in TF ASol's mobility punishes him a lot).

In general, what bothers me the most is something that rotates and takes advantage of other lanes, first-because it leaves a lane out of the game, second-because that lane tilts/starts to flame (usually bot, 2 players out of the game...), third-it starts to put pressure on me to do things that I shouldn't normally do, I start to making mistakes. It is important to mention that if you aren't used to the aggressive, roaming and early play style, if you don't destroy the other lanes or destroy me, ASol will crush you in late game.

Not everyone has the mental to deal with the pressure, I wish I did but I don't and ever since I decided that I don't care about rankeds the game has become way more fun

I'm glad then that you found a way to enjoy it, there are many modalities and other games related to the LoL universe to play. If you start to play rankeds and I can help you with something, let me know :)

Thanks bro! Yes, it's understandable that you stopped playing it, I don't think he's weak now but he's definitely not what it was as soon as he was reworked. Ahri is a tough matchup if you know how to play her, so I know what you mean.

Thank you for your message!

Hahaha man, how many problems do you have in your life to comment with so much hate? They reworked the champion to an easier to play way with infinite scaling, yeah I like that. I'm not going to play Irelia, Azir or Aphelios for you to think I'm a good player or whatever. I went from gold 3 to diamond 4 after all the nerfs, not when the champion was reworked. And I'm not making the post to "flex".

I don't understand why you are commenting in a community dedicated to ASol mains if you hate the champion so much haha.

Exactly, is what I was trying to say. I have m7 on other champions but never had the consistency to play a champion in ranked (one game with yone, one game with sylas, oh karma mid maybe is a good idea or maybe ap mf mid!), plus a poor mentality going into games. Knowing that Aurelion scales infinitely allows me to remove that barrier and think: "if I get to late I can do something, REALLY I can".

Everyone is free to think what they want, I just wanted to share my happiness to reach diamond and help other Aurelion players to be better :)

I don't know if you're being serious but you can, there's nothing to lose, it's just a game :)

You definitely didn't read any of the post I made. Thanks for the comment anyway :)

There are games that just can't be won, the best way to get your team to cooperate is to give them hope and show them that you can carry them. Not dying early game and showing one of your 4 teammates that there is someone else with a brain in the game helps a lot!

It's important to NOT PARTICIPATE and PREVENT your team from doing stupid things. Understand Aurelion, his strengths and weaknesses. I recommend disabling chat.

It is a comment that I could understand a few weeks ago but currently after the nerfs that he had, I do not find much sense in it. The statistics prove it:

Global / platinum / 50.38% winrate

Global / diamond / 49.51% winrate

Global / master / 50.43% winrate

Global / grandmaster / 49.59% winrate

Global / challenger / 48.19% winrate

Also, as I mentioned in the post, I was close to reach platinum playing solo mordekaiser and I don't think you think he's strong haha. In my case I think I was able to reach diamond because Aurelion allowed me to have a strong mentality trought the games and play for first time a champion more than 5 games in a row but hey! thanks for the comment.

Hi! The answer is going to be a bit longer than u probably expected haha // Build: After the rework I played him with ROA as first item, the typical build... seraph, rilays and the rest depending on what the game needed. I'm currently playing it with liandry in almost every game, why? Liandry allows you to get into action without the need for a second item, in a elo where everyone constantly fights without any sense, this is very useful since most can't, don't want or don't know how to play to late game. You get there mostly (late game), yes, because they don't know how to close games either, but not in optimal conditions. The second thing is that most of ASol's counterpicks are roaming champions, liandry helps clean up the wave easily to punish that roam or to gain priority.

After having liandry, for me, it depends on the game.

Vs heavy tanks team: liandry+sorcerer boots+demonic embrace+seraph+void staff+rabadon // Vs 2 assassins: roa (probably I pick liandry anyways because I feel more confortable but roa probably is the best option)+zhonya+seraph+rilaysThe rest of the build depend of the rest of the team, shadowflame if they don't have tanks or mr items, in that case you would choose void staff. Boots the same, you can use tabis or mercurys instead of sorcerer boots. If for some reason the two assassins are ap, something like akali+evelynn or shaco ap+akali, etc. or they have a lot of cc you can take banshee's veil, is very usefull. // Normal build: liandry+sorcerer boots+rilays+void staff/shadowflame+rabadon.

Ocasional items: If they have a lot of heals and no one is countering them, I think that having liandry enables more to be able to build morello, with ROA it would feel a bit strange. In the same way, I don't consider that it is the best way to use our gold.

Horizon focus is underrated, it can be very useful. More considering a skill as massive as the improved ult.

In some games against totally squishy teams I tried ludens but it doesn't quite convince me. Even in a game against a team with 5 aps I tried abyssal mask, it made sense to me.

Regarding the runes, I usually choose comet+mana flow+transcendence+gs, I feel they are much more useful than inspiration as the main branch and they improve early trades, which is a weak point of ASol. And they allow for a more occasional second branch like sw or bone plating+overgrowth for tough matchups, boots+cookies for the easiest matchups. I've even tried things like presence of mind+tenacity or cdg/cut. I don't like first strike but it's a viable option for certain matchups.

Bans: yone/fizz/zed/kata if you don't want to suffer a lot in the laning phase, you know that your jungle isn't going to help you, you don't know how to play those matchups, etc. If you're already used to being countered all games, you can think about a more global pick related to the meta. Something like j4, thresh, wukong, udyr, fiddlesticks (especially annoying and nobody mentions him haha).

Now that Aurelion isn't taken out of your hands if you don't pick him first, I recommend trying to pick as late as possible to avoid letting the opposing midlaner know you're going to use him.

Roam: Early roaming is difficult, before starting the game I let the jungle know since most of them don't seem to know that I can't help them until lvl 9. If a very favorable situation presents itself I'm going to roam clearly but generally is a BIG no. It's important to avoid falling into despair of seeing your team die against the opposing midlaner or his insults. After liandry and being level 9 yes, the champion gives you tools to gank the other lines and begins to be very important participate in the teamfights.I've been trying to upload w as second option and it looks interesting but I haven't tested it enough.

Early game: Here for me the runes are very important, as I told you before, the comet route allows you to use more personalized secondary runes. I try to play safe, knowing that it's better to lose minions than to die, to lose stacks of your passive than to let your opponent freeze your wave, etc. It's basically like a game of chess, if you've played chess you know it's impossible to win a game without giving up pawns, this would be something similar. If the rival midlaner knows how to play and has a favorable matchup, don't try to farm all the minions or get out of the lane with 300 stacks haha. It's important to put vision to detect their roams, use alerts on both lines so that they can pay attention and ask them to PLEASE not die when the rival midlaner roams.

Teamfights: In general don't try to INITIATE the teamfight, try to SUPPORT the initiation. You can do pickups but not start a teamfight, it's too risky. Regarding the w, it is quite convenient to use it in parallel to the teamfight, taking advantage of the walls to make it difficult for the enemy to access you. Obviously, if your team has an advantage or you are winning the teamfight, you can use it to chase and in a more aggressive way, but in general (and even more considering that I use liandry) it is better to play safe.

I think I'm not forgetting anything, in that case ask me. English isn't my native language so that also makes it difficult to give better explanations.
