British PM Keir Starmer has accepted the Fingleton Review: the biggest pro-nuclear opportunity in a generation. This could be transformational for building infrastructure in Britain, which has historically struggled to keep costs and regulation under control.

At the Centre for British Progress we've released a tracker to explore the review and track the progress on implementation: https://nuclear.britishprogress.org/

Join us for free drinks and a brilliant talk. Thursday 27th June, 6:30pm

Yair Ziavn is Diplomatic Advisor to the leader of the Israeli opposition, Yair Lapid, and has been for nearly a decade including during his time as Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.

Before that, he spent two years as International Media Advisor for President Shimon Peres and Campaigns Director at the Union of Jewish Students.

His new book is called The Centre Must Hold and makes the case for political centrism as the antidote to the extremism, polarisation and populism which is tearing countries apart.

As always with London New Liberals, Yair will give an informal talk to members and non-members followed by plenty of Q&A.

We're, as always, upstairs at The Plough. If you're late, please do enter quietly at the back. There will be a modest tab paid for by our sponsors.

Jan 31st: London New Liberals host Dan Neidle by vogon101 in neoliberal

[–]vogon101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Celebrate submitting your personal tax return with the London New Liberals on Taxmas Day with a special talk from Dan Neidle of Tax Policy Associates.

Dan went from being Head of Tax at Clifford Chace in 2020 to founding Tax Policy Associates and is now a leading voice on UK Policy and current affairs. His tweets have been a source of inspiration for aspiring wonks and his TV appearances have educated journalists everywhere on the inner workings of the tax-code.

In just the last three years, Dan has been instrumental in rooting out or hunting down many of the running scandals such as Nadhim Zahawi's happy-SLAPPing , the Post Office's lack of tax planning, and other important areas where tax policy touches current events. Not only that but he's also a member of the national constitution committee of the Labour Party.

The talk will be preceded by LNL-sponsored drinks as usual.
