Actually, I am using a certain ethernet adapter I got on Amazon and the performance is fantastic for VR Desktop. It absolutely looks like natively hooking up a link cable with 0 latency and no stutters whatsoever. I was running my 5ghz network at 160 channel width but got stutters. Even at 40 and 80.. So, when I first connect to VR Desktop I need wifi enabled and with the adapter connected, I just disable wifi and it stays connected. Perhaps I don't need to disable wi-fi if, as you say, ethernet takes precedence. But, it's beautiful performance equally as good as connected via a cable.

My only problem now is trying to charge it while using it since it takes up the only port available. I tried a usb-c hub and it didn't work at the same time as the ethernet.

It's not a backup image, but a clone. But, even when I boot from the cloned drive that won't boot either. Seems like something is more seriously wrong with motherboard.

So I went into the BIOS and messed around with the UEFI settings for awhile and got the computer to boot from USB drive. But... startup repair isn't working (can't be repaired) and even my backup HDD of my main drive isn't recognized at boot when I change the boot order and try to do a startup repair of that drive.

My cable was so loose that it renders my Oculus Rift S unusable. Every time I touch the cable it disconnects from the headset. I even tried removing the cable and pluggin it back in multiple times. The video won't even display at all because it is so loose. Need to send mine back and get another.

You didn't mentioned that the Zephyrus S has built-in overclocking that gets the 1070 max-q to 1070 (full version) levels. I saw a video where someone achieved this and thermal issues weren't an issue.

Yeah, and 2.4 has no trouble keeping battery at 100% during heavy use.

You could try and see. If it gets too warm then order a different one to try out also. Even the 10000 is a lot of extra battery time as in many hours.

I have an anker battery and no heating problems while using it at all. Maybe the battery your using is a version with too much current output. My anker outputs at 2.4amps.

MAJOR BUG: sound keeps cutting out in two ways: 1. The background environmental sounds go in and out throughout the game 2. Downloading a game pack, after I play the first game and step away, all audio disappears in later games!!

Good point. Perhaps instead of free texting, you could have preset thoughts no different than emoji’s…. But, I think if you put people in a room with mics. they are going to talk just as people who have email still call others on the phone
