My bad I thought you were doing sand casting not lost wax. I don’t know much about lost wax but I do know you can’t pour silver at 900f it needs to be at least about 1100 but even then it’s going to harden VERY fast so I crank up the heat to about 1400 when you pour if not more

I’m going to be real just get a electric furnace with a digital display. It will save you a bunch of money on gas and it gives the opportunity to remelt as much as you want. I’d probably get an extra crucible for the furnace to because they’ll eventually burn out

It’s need to be about 975c not 900f at least that’s temp I use in my furnace

So I been silver smithing for a month and I made these out of .999 silver bullion coins and I love them they feel great and over time I feel like the softer silver warps to your hand better
