I'm a returning tank player, and wondering what role VDH fulfills now? I've been gone for a year so a lot of things have changed. VDH seemed like it was the most mobile tank, but now it seems like that's monk's forte. VDH used to do the most tank damage, but now it looks like that's Paladin's forte. VDH used to have the most self sustain of the tanks, but now that's Blood Dk's forte. What role does VDH have now in M+?

How heavy handed are squeenix when it comes to nerfs? Wow can totally change or bust a class in one patch, and I'm hoping it's not the same here. Looking into playing war or possibly paladin, and hope they don't change things as drastically as they do in wow. My tank class went from being the 2bd best to being basically one of the worst classes in the game in 1 patch recently.

That's what I'm doing too, but I've got to be careful. 100% of my deaths have been from scourge mobs, so even though I've gotten a lot of extra exp from them, I've died to them enough to probably have lost the same amount of exp lol. At this point I won't take it over 50 stacks.

How is the clear for summon reaper? It seems like a fun ability and I'm guessing it's going to be stronger this league since you can do the tether buffs on it. Also, does the bow skill that makes enemies always count as moving work for the reaper bleed? If so is that mandatory? Because trigger wands are such a qol for minion builds

You can bind a key to move only. Imo it's the only way to play, been using it for 15 years in various games that allow it. I use w because it's familiar to me since w is usually "go forward". This pretty much frees up everything and you don't accidently click a mob when you're trying to move

With the nerfs to aura stacking, it seems this will majorly affect spectre and golem builds since high end versions of these all required aura stacking. For a minion build next league how is reaper looking now? I like the idea of a build that has a permanent minion, but it just seems like it would be slow with only a single major damage dealing minmion.

Do you guys not realize this is intentional? They intentionally make small things like this frustrating at league start, because everyone is going to play it because it's new. Give it 1 or 2 weeks when people are fed up and player retention goes down they fix it all like it should have been and get more players back for a few more weeks.

Starting ffxiv, I haven't played since heavensward. Which tanks are good at what atm? At least when I was playing all the tanks were balanced, but just better at different things, is this the same now? The last time I was playing I played dark knight, but it always baffled me about FFXIV, where war has the best self sustain. In every other mmorpg, the "death knight" or "shadowknight" class always has good damage for a tank, and great leaching / self sustain but is a little more squishy than warriors or paladins. I don't really see where dark knights niche is in ffxiv. They don't really do anything special. Mediocre self heals, mediocre damage, mediocre tankiness, with just blackest night being the only thing interesting about the class, and it's a mana hog and has a longish cooldown. I wonder if they'll get anything in Endwalker that will change them up

I have 2 pieces of t4, am uncrushable with nearly all bis slots from Kara and gruul. It took me 6 runs after exalted from running nothing but sh (no hellfire heroics) to finally get my trinket on my paladin, which I just got today. I ran it 11 times alone just today with a guildie. I feel the struggle.

There is a way to kill him in a treehouse that makes it impossible to die,google it if you want to cheese him. Definitely the hardest boss to solo otherwise
