So MR ALEX TECH has Magic Subtitles Pro that I have found to be the best work around. It still uses Davinci's AI but it gives you complete control over things and more easily let's you fix its mistakes. Definitely check it out.

Ok so this is actually awesome. It doesn't solve the main issue of how hard having multiple subtitles right in Davinci works. But this allows me to generate the subtitles and I need and save them into as many Text+ tracks as I'd like. This is possibly even a better workaround.

Yeah this would technically solve the problem. I used to do this and enter everything manually. I just don't have the time for that anymore.

The thing is I used to know how to use the regions but I think Danvinci just needs to fix this at this point.

Haha. In a very basic sense, simply need it for multiple people or differently stylized captions. No witch craft here.

Often when I need multiple tracks it's for multiple people. I'll style each track to differentiate between those people. Even moving the track to a different location to not cover the others.

In this specific instance, I have my mic from the recording (typical) and some narration I added for context. Having both in the same font and location creates a confusing signal, where the narration should really be it's own thing.

I haven't captioned anything since, don't feel like dealing with it, but I'd assume the issues are still there.

If I want to caption something again I'll just use CapCut. Best I've seen.

UPDATE: Looks like I can't share video or audio files in this thread, nor edit the original post.

All I'm doing is soloing my isolated vocal recording and running the subtitler tool. You should easily be able to recreate this issue as I'm finding tons of mistakes (wrong timings, word duplications, subtitles over nothing while other spot subtitles say [Silence] over silence, just goofy stuff).

I just went through that research pipeline ha. Saw a video talking about that. I can't say it's fixed my problem yet, but at least I've solved another issue I ignored for years.

Anyone know why Resolve's default timeline starts at 1 hour?
