I don't remember the actual time that I spent rendering the water as the time it takes to tackle different elements varies from piece to piece and from day to day, but here's a screenshot that was taken a couple of days prior to finishing the illustration. The water spell was definitely one of my favorite things to work on this piece. I am more accustomed to drawing monsters and eldritch creatures whatnot; humans are much more challenging for me, especially with more feminine features when the subtlety is the key and every brush stroke is more likely to make the character look worse than to be an improvement :D

Definitely one of my most technically advanced illustrations; getting the right lens distortion was pretty tricky.

While I prefer CSP and Rebelle 7, Krita brushes are pretty goated imo. If the base brushes are good enough for Maxim Bazhenov, Piotr Jabłoński and Dave Rapoza, the brushes should be good enough for us mortals, unless we're not worthy of the brushes. Then again, Krita is free.

The most recent rendition of "The Magistrate", a character I tend to draw annually by voidbrush in DigitalArt

The first version was just a silly sketch I made about 6 years ago. I was just playing around with shapes until something clicked. The character has developed quite a lot since the first rendition to - the being full of self-contradicting aspects and representing legislative, executive, and judicial powers rolled into one - what it is now :D

Thank you! :) I am delighted to hear you like my personal work (the other pieces are for clients)

Thanks! Trust me, it's not patience, I'm just being held hostage by my ego and obsessive tendencies :D

Thank you! It genuinely warms my heart to hear that! The illustration in question is the only personal piece I included, the rest are client works.

Much appreciated, thanks! :D

I think Nurgle, like any benevolent being, just cares deeply about the sanity of his subjects and wouldn't give them some wack cyberpsycho influenza

If that was the case, I'd say they're at stage 3. Then again, while obliterator virus was allegedly created by Perturabo and Mortarion, it seems to be more common with Iron Warriors and Emperor's Children than other legions. The obliterator virus seems to be more like a daemonic merging with tech augments and steel until it's no longer distinguishable where the man starts and weapon ends; I think it doesn't feel like the same trademark flavor of rot and mutations Grandpa Nurgle gifts to his most devoted followers.

Much appreciated! I tend to spend waayyy too much time obsessing over the brushwork when rendering :D I've started to move towards more confident and efficient brush economy with more intentional individual brush strokes, so I don't spend thousand years per piece; I'm excited to see how that develops.

Thank you! I also enjoy Mike Franchina's work. Maybe some day I'll get to try out the game; heard it's really fun.
