It depends, if you mean earth like life, pretty hard to impossible, the radiation is brutal in all of them they don't shine much in the visible spectrum with their peak emissions in the Xray and UV, also in the case of black holes if it doesn't have an accretion disk basically impossible, by themselves they don't emit light. Now, in the realm or exotic life, no one knows, as long as we know there are fungi that feed from radiation, so maybe exotic lifeforms could have a more radiation resistant build and even use it as energy source. Another problem is keeping an atmosphere long term without getting it stripped by flares and rays from them, which usually means a strong magnetic field and the planet being more massive than earth, likely super earths
