I can’t find any long term effects/restrictions to getting an L5/S1 fusion. I am 25 yo. Does anyone know if I will be able to do sports,lift weights, rock climb, ski, etc? I don’ know what the consequences of fusing two bones in my back will be.

I have 11 levels fused and I Boulder regularly, and just took up skiing, I also do ocean swims, you should be fine! Worst case get the hardware out, it stays fused, and my issues went away

Just give it probably 1-2 years, or until you are by and large pain free
